Professor Ted's Office Hours - Wednesday Morning (9-11am)

Ted was in his office. Van Halen was blasting from the speakers in the music room next door. Ted, however, was busy focusing on the dipping bird trying to drink out of his cup. As far as Ted was concerned, it was mesmerizing. The fascination with the bird was probably a combination of too much sugar, not enough sleep and being dropped on his head repeatedly as a baby.

The door was open for any students who needed to stop by.

Marty knocks on the door frame.

"Professor Ted? I'll be out of town this saturday and I need to have your signature on this absence pass? And if there's any homework I'll need to make up for I'd appreciate it if you could let me know."

Ted waved Marty in, but didn't look up from the dipping bird. "Whatever you say, dude. Are you gonna miss Thursday and Friday, or just Friday?"

"Then there's.." He paused to watch as the bird dipped again. "No problem, dude. There might be an activity sheet for homework, or something, but it won't take long to do. I'll drop a link in your voicemail have someone drop it off when you get back dude."

"Thanks Professor Ted!" Marty said, somewhat hypnotically drawn to the bird on the desk yet pulling himself away to leave.
