As the class enter they are directed to a set of lecture handouts.
"Welcome, kids, today we'll be discussing Ancient Egyptian Art.
"First thing you have to know about the artists of Ancient Egypt, they were anal. Really anal. Everything about their art had to follow a strict series of rules, from the depiction of the various subjects, to hierarchical sizing and placement. Not much room for innovation there kids.
"Much of this art was also either religious or grave goods, translation, a lot of precious metals and stones were used. Hence why so many of the tombs of the Pharohs were desecrated bysome bastards who beat me to it grave-robbers."
Autolycus continued in this vein for the better part of half an hour.
"To sum up, Ancient Egyptian art was rigid, religious, and anal, but so very, very shiny."
"This week's homework assignment is similar to last week's, however this time I would like you to find an example of Ancient Greek Art, and please remember this particular area is something of a specialty of mine."
