Janet had never been a big believer in Friday the 13th being bad luck, but that was before she'd been woken up by Marty and Camilla moving into 239/240.

She fled to open the library before her third period class started.

Janet runs out the door to class. Hopefully the Librarian's around somewhere.

No food in the library! ~~Unless you work there.~~

"Hey, Janet," Angel said as he came in. He looked for a spot where he could resume his newspaper research in piece. "Don't mind me. Doing something for a class."

[ooc: Mostly afk this afternoon, but wanted to make sure soul boy did his homework]

Lee enters ~~his sanctuary~~ the library on a hunt to discover more about this island...England....

Parker waves on her way in. "Hey. See you back her during 4th?"

"I've only got one class today, so yeah," said Janet.

Janet waves to Lee. "How's it going?" she asked.

"Hey, Angel," said Janet. She waved at him. "Let me know if you need a hand with looking something up." She'd be around later if he wanted to socialize.

"Do you know anything about England?" Lee asks point blank. "because I'm taking a class on it and I'm frakkin' clueless. It's this wee little island and yet it ~~was an empire via a cunning use of flags~~ did a lot of stuff and ..." and he's flailing now. "I need history books, Janet!"

Izzie wanders in to the library to say hi to Janet.

"Hi, Janet," Izzie says. "I made some cookies for one of my classes yesterday and I saved you some. You know, as a thank you for showing me around and stuff."

Izzie produces a Tupperware container from her backpack and hands it to Janet.

"Thanks. Parker helped me a little yesterday," Angel said, "but I'll give a holler."

He looked a tiny bit intimidated by the computer system that let him try to track down old newspaper articles, but he figured he'd never learn if he didn't try.

Hopefully he wouldn't break anything in the meanwhile.

OOC: *kicks LJ for eating her comment*

"Oh, cookies, thanks!" exclaims Janet, taking one and nibbling on it. "So you're adjusting okay? How are your professors?"

OOC again: I'm going to be offline most of the day tomorrow, but what are your plans tomorrow night? Sunday's my husband's day to be up early with the kidlet, so I have time to play late. We could introduce you to some of Janet's friends, or go to the duck pond and meet Sunshine.

"History?" asked Janet. "You mean Dr. Pierson didn't load you down with a bunch of supplemental reading?" She grinned sympathetically. "England's a very influential place. Dr. Pierson will talk your ear off about it if you let him." She pulled up some titles on the computer system and gave him a ~~omg, I'm not looking that up IRL, aiee~~ print-out with a few detailed books.

"I wish I hadn't promised Dr. Pierson that I'd sign up for his class. I just don't have the background that you have from growing up on this planet knowing... you know... things," he says.

Parker grinned. "Kinda intense class yesterday, hunh?"

"I'm so confused!" he says flailing a bit.

Suddenly, it clicked. Vampire. From before computers.

He'd say something if he were having a problem, right? He wouldn't just be a guy and not ask for directions.

Right. Janet was going to have to keep a close eye on him.

OOC: Delete/repost to fix typos.

"Maybe you should transfer to History of Western Civ?" asked Janet. "It's a lot more of an introduction to the culture of this planet. But you'll learn a lot taking a class from Dr. Pierson. He's really knowledgeable on the subject."

"Want me to remind him to take it easy since there are people from other planets?" asked Janet. "I can do it without using your name."

"My professors have been okay," Izzie replies. "I pretty much like all my classes so far too, although I'm the only student in my section of biology."

OOC: My husband and I are going out of town until sometime Sunday. I mean, I'll be on off and on for the rest of today, but yeah, then mini-vacation...woo-hoo! Ummm...I'm totally free Sunday night/all day Monday. Does any of that work for you? Izzie so seriously needs to meet people...lol

Lee calms down at once. "No, I don't want special treatment, sorry, I'm being an ass. I just need to do some serious reading this weekend."
