Grissom's actually sitting in the break area behind his office in the morning, with a rolling TV unit in front of him. He may be screening various dirrrty National Geographic specials purely for reasearch purposes.

He's also hanging out with his new spider that he's named Jerusalem, or just Jerry for short.

He then wonders if the spider likes the nickname, and thinks he could probably have one of the creature languages students try to translate and find out, and then his brain breaks into a thousand, itty bitty pieces, and instead he goes back to watching the dirrrrrty videos.

Grissom uses the gremlin crews one more time to quickly fashion an extra classroom out of the resource center, just in case.

He gives the gremlins cookies, and gets a little emotional waving goodbye, but he totally won't admit it.

Grissom reviews the petition carefully.

"Yes, yes I do," he says, quickly scrawling his name (http://www.livejournal.com/users/chasingangela/31244.html?thread=403468#t403468) down on the paper.

Grissom bites back a comment at how the depictions of the insects in the poster are grossly inaccurate, and instead stands up to stick it to the back of the door to his office.

"Good luck," he says to Blair on his way out.

Marty comes into the room as Grissom is eating. "Dr. Grissom? Am I interrupting your- grazing?"

"I missed class the other night as I was setting up things for a Gremlin Bite Support group gone horribly wrong and I wanted to know how to get the lecture I missed and what work I needed to make up for."

Grissom just sighs, and rubs his temples.

"That's fine, Martin. What class are you in again?"

Sara's brought the leftover chicken soup to make up for the insult of a salad. Isn't she thoughtful?

She gives the poster a bemused look. "Kid's creative, I'll grant him that much."

He takes the soup from her quietly, mumbling a thank you.

"I'm from the non-violent school of gremlin warfare. Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding," he says with a small smirk.

"And I really hate exterminators."

"The school wouldn't be as charming without the gremlins," she says, amused. "And I'm not certain the administration has realized that, if they were gone, something worse would probably take their place. Just the way things work."

"That's a lovely thought. Is there some sort of hierarchy for supposedly imaginary and obnoxious pests? Zombies rate a 7, gremlins a 3, psychotic leprechauns with hand grenades a 9?"

"No, no. No problem. We... ummm... Why don't you write me a quick essay on any film of your choice that depicts paranormal activity? Here's a pen, and a piece of paper," he says, scrambling to find both, and motioning for Marty to take a seat on the couch.

"Five minutes or so. Just to have something for my records."

"That's okay Dr. Grissom. I have my notebook with me." Marty said, sitting down at a table to work on his essay.
