"Great! You can go grab some breakfast then." Charlie pointed towards the table. "We didn't do much yesterday, except pick a favorite number, so you should be good."

"Dr. Eppes, I heard you mentioning mapping locker 327." Walter smiles slightly. "I don't suppose you'd let me serve my Saturday detention helping you with that? After all, I'm in detention because I wanted to explore the locker..."

"I'm sure we could come up with some way to make it look as though I'm being well and thoroughly punished." Walter didn't let it drop too easily. "Besides, don't you need a student who isn't afraid of anything?"

Charlie gave him a thoughtful look. "I do need that... Okay, I'll arrange it." He nodded and scribbled himself a note. "I hope you'll come prepared. I'll start around ten in the morning."

"Well, I wanted to talk to you more about how numbers are in everything. I kinda get what you're saying with that. But I suspect there's more to it then that. And also..." She looked around. "I was talking to Walter and he told me about how he was receiving the fitting 'punishment' of being at your disposal for your experaments with the locker. And I was wondering if I should report to you on Saturday morning as well? Because it wouldn't it follow common sense that both of the people in trouble for investigating the locker get have to make them themselves available to you... Walter is quite fearless, but I have the added bonus of being very hard to hurt, so you won't have to worry about me much."

She finally takes a breath.

"And I am honest and for truly curious about how numbers relate to that thing."
