Professor Chaucer is kicked back in his chair with his feet up on his desk in the spiffy new office he now has. He's reading, but feel free to bring him coffee interrupt him.

"So what about you?" Ten cocks his head and smiles at Geoff. "Been keeping yourself busy or been lying about? I'm told the latter is what poets are really good at."

"Oh, mostly lying about, drinking and gambling, that sort of thing. I'm learning to play the piano, though, so that has to count for something." Geoff grins. "I'm actually looking forward to getting back into the classroom. It's good to see everyone back in town again."

A thought suddenly occurs to him, and he goes behind the desk to get something out of a drawer. "I'd almost forgotten -- I stashed this in here so I could get it to you. It's late, obviously, but the sentiment still applies."

"Sounds like a good enough holiday. Wish I'd joined you."

Ten opens the box and smiles a sweet and happy grin, blushing. "Oh--it's lovely." He touches a gold bit with his fingertip before slipping it on. "Thank you ever so much, love. I have something for you, but it's too big a box to cart all this way." A pause and the smile turns sly. "So to get it, I suppose I'll have to take you for that date that got put off."

"I'm glad you like it, Ten. And I'd love to go on that date. Just tell me when you're free."

He grins back and gestures his hand toward one of the doors. "You know that CJ and I have adjoining offices, right? So I expect to see you in here once in a while."

"Sooner rather than later." He continues to smile that sly grin. "Don't tell me you and she planned it that way."

Laughing, Geoff says, "Honestly, no we didn't. And I don't think anyone planned to put Adam in down the hall, either. But it's awfully convenient for you, isn't it? Makes me wonder if you might have had a hand in it."

"Wasn't me. But oh, I have great plans, aye." He kicks back, nonchalant, but the look on his face indicates exactly what those plans are and how they're only suited for a mature audience.

"Oh do you now?" Geoff says, grinning slyly. "And do I get to find out what those plans might entail?"

"Maaaybe, if you'll go out with me sometime this week...I'll give you a sneak preview."

"I think I could fit you into my busy schedule. Would tomorrow after my late class work for you as the mun is going to have limited access Thurs-Sun woe?"

"I'm glad you have space for me. Tomorrow would be lovely."

"Always for you, Ten," Geoff says, grinning. "Especially as you were so good as to bribe me with coffee."

Ten laughs. "My dear Geoff, I am ALWAYS so good." He rolls his eyes a little to show he's kidding.

Geoff laughs as well. "Very true, Ten. I expect this to be a GOOD dinner then. Will we be meeting at Deb's?"

"How about I'll cook? What do you like, I can do anything."

"You'll cook for me?" Geoff looks pleased. "Anything you want to make, Ten. I haven't had anything here yet that I didn't like."

"Of course I will." Ten ponders for a moment. "Perhaps a curry."

"I don't think I've ever had that, so it sounds good. What time? And would you like me to bring anything?"

"Well, then I'm definitely doing a curry, it's British tradition. And bring...yourself. And anything you care to bring, anything at all."

"Well, you know I'm not any kind of cook, so I won't offer to make anything. Is...curry a beer sort of food, or should I actually try and be sophisticated for a change and bring wine?"

"Curry...definitely more of a beer thing. Cheap beer, lots of it." He smiles slowly. "And maybe then we'll play a game of cards, raging drunk."

Laughing, Geoff replies, "As long as CJ's not playing. I don't fancy losing my coat again."

He leans over and gives Ten another quick kiss. "Beer it is. I'll be sure to bring plenty."

"Just you and me." He grins and kisses Geoff again, right after his kiss, and stands up. "I look forward to it."
