Charlie is attempting to wrap presents and finish the exams grading at the same time. His desk is kind of a mess.

"Hi! I'll look at it in a moment, I just.." Charlie scowled down at his deformed gift. Wrapping a Golfers Monthly, a wine bottle and a pair of socks into one gift was harder than it looked. "...Have to win over the wrapping paper. But come in, have some coffee, if there's any left."

Sam went over to the coffee pot and poured herself half a cup. With the cup she'd guzzled before Shop, that was probably enough to get her through the day--especially since she didn't have any more classes.

She hid her smile behind the coffee mug as she watched Professor Eppes attempt to wrap the awkwardly shaped gift. "Would you like me to hold something in place while you tape the paper down?"

"Would you?" Charlie asked. He looked sadly down at the gift. "I never thought I'd say this, but I think giftwrapping defies mathematics."

Sam set her mug aside and held the awkwardly shaped package. She chuckled. "I think it defies physics as well. But I find that using a lot of tape and ribbon helps that."
