ETA: CLASS IS NOW CLOSED.

"Okay, guys, given that everyone and their brother has RL issues this week we've gone over your proposals and your tasks, why don't you all sign in, and then take this period to go and start your projects? I'll be around if you have any questions. Oh, and be sure to let people know you're working on a project for your psych class before you start your experiment, okay?"

OOC: RL is a killer today. Yesterday's class is still open for commenting. Both of these will be open until next Tuesday.

Please drop links for anyone you get to do a task for your class project into the OCD comment threads that will be going up shortly are up!

Anders signs in. He's holding his backpack in his arms now, not by choice, as one strap has frayed and broken.

Anders scribbles ideas for scripted product sells in his notebook and waits for Vala, chewing on his pen every now and then until he thinks better of it and pops a gumball into his mouth.

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] aka-vala.livejournal.com 2005-12-08 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Vala drops into the seat beside him. "So, what's up?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2005-12-08 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey, Vala." Anders looks up, smiling a little bit tiredly. "Just tryin' to come up with our descriptions for the experiment. I'm not sure if we should go for subtle or more obvious, um, trigger words, I guess you'd call them?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] aka-vala.livejournal.com 2005-12-08 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hmmm," she frowns. "I guess it depends on how much of a dramatic result we want. I mean, if we call it 'old stale buttery toast' vs. 'new, vitamin-enriched, special-formula buttery toast' we'd probably get quite the response. Then again, I'm not sure it would actually prove much."

Faith works on fine-tuning the experiment plan, and waits for Draco to decide when to get victims volunteers.

Jessica looks for Broots.

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey, I got your message, and um, I definetly can't draw. But I can type up a text flyer asking for ten to twenty volunteers?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] lady-jessica-bg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Sure. You post an announcement in the dorms, and I'll post one in the town."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Awesome. Do you want to run the whole thing tomorrow, or do you think that's not enough prep time for people? And using Sudoku puzzle okay?"

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] lady-jessica-bg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Maybe Monday or Tuesday instead. And Sudoku's fine. Let's do...oh, say, a series of three of them."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Broots nodded. "Monday sounds good. Three sort of mediumish ones? Or maybe three almost simple ones? We should probably solve a few ourselves to get an approximate time needed to complete them."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] lady-jessica-bg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
"How about one simple, one medium, and one hard (or as difficult as a Sudoku can get, at any rate)?"

((Choose puzzle 1 for easy (http://www.websudoku.com/?select=1&level=1), same here for medium (http://www.websudoku.com/?select=1&level=2), and here for hard (http://www.websudoku.com/?select=1&level=3).

There's also an Evil level. Wanna do that instead of easy?))

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
"That sounds good, and maybe give them half an hour to do them for the timed?" He bit his lip for a second. "We're going to need two rooms. And if possible make sure that not one person can see anyone else."

((Any works, and the evil are nearly impossible, I speak from experience.))

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] lady-jessica-bg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Sounds good. I'll put posters up tomorrow."

((Finished an evil in a bit under 35 minutes. I don't play too often.))

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Awesome. Anything else you think we need?"

((*neeh* I don't have the patience for the evil ones. Can do a hard in about fifteen minutes, though.))

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] lady-jessica-bg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Don't think so. I'll bring stopwatches (we'll hide them from our 'untimed' subjects)."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
"And hopefully, people will volunteer."

Re: Discussion

[identity profile] lady-jessica-bg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
