Abnormal Psychology (Thursday, 12/08/2005, 1:00 p.m.)

ETA: CLASS IS NOW CLOSED.

"Okay, guys, given that ~~everyone and their brother has RL issues this week~~ we've gone over your proposals and your tasks, why don't you all sign in, and then take this period to go and start your projects? I'll be around if you have any questions. Oh, and be sure to let people know you're working on a project for your psych class before you start your experiment, okay?"

OOC: RL is a killer today. Yesterday's class is still open for commenting. Both of these will be open until next Tuesday.

Anders scribbles ideas for scripted product sells in his notebook and waits for Vala, chewing on his pen every now and then until he thinks better of it and pops a gumball into his mouth.

Vala drops into the seat beside him. "So, what's up?"

"Hey, Vala." Anders looks up, smiling a little bit tiredly. "Just tryin' to come up with our descriptions for the experiment. I'm not sure if we should go for subtle or more obvious, um, trigger words, I guess you'd call them?"

"Hmmm," she frowns. "I guess it depends on how much of a dramatic result we want. I mean, if we call it 'old stale ~~buttery~~ toast' vs. 'new, vitamin-enriched, special-formula ~~buttery~~ toast' we'd probably get quite the response. Then again, I'm not sure it would actually prove much."

Faith works on fine-tuning the experiment plan, and waits for Draco to decide when to get ~~victims~~ volunteers.

Jessica looks for Broots.

"Hey, I got your message, and um, I definetly can't draw. But I can type up a text flyer asking for ten to twenty volunteers?"

"Sure. You post an announcement in the dorms, and I'll post one in the town."

"Awesome. Do you want to run the whole thing tomorrow, or do you think that's not enough prep time for people? And using Sudoku puzzle okay?"

"Maybe Monday or Tuesday instead. And Sudoku's fine. Let's do...oh, say, a series of three of them."

Broots nodded. "Monday sounds good. Three sort of mediumish ones? Or maybe three almost simple ones? We should probably solve a few ourselves to get an approximate time needed to complete them."

"How about one simple, one medium, and one hard (or as difficult as a Sudoku can get, at any rate)?"

"That sounds good, and maybe give them half an hour to do them for the timed?" He bit his lip for a second. "We're going to need two rooms. And if possible make sure that not one person can see anyone else."

((Any works, and the evil are nearly impossible, I speak from experience.))

"Sounds good. I'll put posters up tomorrow."

((Finished an evil in a bit under 35 minutes. I don't play too often.))

"Awesome. Anything else you think we need?"

((*neeh* I don't have the patience for the evil ones. Can do a hard in about fifteen minutes, though.))

"Don't think so. I'll bring stopwatches (we'll hide them from our 'untimed' subjects)."

"And hopefully, people will volunteer."

"To play Sudoku? No problem, I would think."
