*sipping on a latte at the coffee shop watching people hurry off to classes*

*thinking to herself*

She's going to be late, he's about to trip, ooo there he goes, *chuckles*. He didnt finish his homework, he has time to change the outcome of getting kicked out though.

*sips her latte again*

Lets see, *flipping through her notebook* 100 words on a topic of my choice due before the 14th... So many choices... Maybe I'll write about the boy who just tripped. *chuckles again*

Mustang strides down the hall in a rush, dodging people and constantly checking his watch to make sure he's on time. He's so busy looking at it that the back of his shoe catches on his pant leg and he stumbles forward sloppily.

*Maia sees you still laying on the floor* maybe I should go see if he's ok *sighs*

*coughs* Are you ok? *trying to keep from chuckling* *picks up one of the books you dropped and holds it out*

Roy sighs, and sits up lazily.

"Yeah, I'm okay." He looks over at the person talking to him, and notices she's a) female, and b) pretty. He stands up completely and takes the book back, smiling. "Thank you for asking. It's heartening to see such consideration from a fellow student. Not everyone in this world is so kind. What's your name."

*smiles* Maia, Maia Rutledge. I just started yesterday. *looks guilty* I should have warned you before you fell, sorry. Yeah, people are a bit odd. A lot of the people here seem really nice though. *smiles again*

"Oh, no worries. It was my own clumsy fault. My name is Roy Mustang," he replied, smiling also. This was going great so far! He didn't need to be on time to geology-- this was far more important.

"I just arrived yesterday myself. Today's my first day of class. Are you heading for class yourself? Because I could walk you. I mean I don't really know where you're going, but I'm sure I could help you get there."

"Not to imply that you need help, because I'm sure you don't, but..." Roy gets a woeful face, "...but I have so few friends in this place, and you seem so nice..."

*smiles* Its very nice to meet Roy. I was actually heading back to my room. I have some homework to finish. And I dont mind being walked at all. I know what you mean about not having a lot of friends around here. Shall we go?

"Let's," he says, and starts walking beside her. "What classes are you taking?"

um, Biology with Ms. Sidel, Journalism 101, History of the World and Party Planning. *chuckles* you know, in case I ever have to plan the perfect party. What about you?

"Well, I'm taking two classes with Ms. Sidle myself-- geology and physics. Too bad I didn't take biology," he smiles. "I'm also taking a mathematics class to brush up on my geometry, Music 101, Intro to Political Science, and Sociology: Social Deviance. Though I think I might drop that last one-- six classes is a little hard on the sleep schedule."

*stops suddenly and looks at Roy* *smiles* Yeah that would have been nice. But I fear you may have gotten detention in Biology like you did geology. *smiles* So I guess going to some parties this weekend so we'll at least know each other at them is out of the question.

Roy is flustered for a moment, but curious. "But I haven't gone to geology yet. I was going to run back and catch the second half after I walked you to the dorms."

((From Roy's POV, and because keeping track of multiple internet conversations is crazy-hard, Roy arrived late to biology anyway. I was gonna make it because he slept in, but now it's because of this conversation. Though of course Maia sees the future, so...))

Your going to get detention, its not cloudy when I see it, so its a done deal. Still, if you would like to go out sometime, after your detention I mean *smiles* I would like that.

((OOC: Maia sees the future, so it kinda worked in my favor that I happend upon the detention notice HAHAHA YAY FOR SEEING THE FUTURE, just thought I would throw Roy for a loop))

"You can see the future?" he asked, intrigued. "That must be incredibly useful for you... but if you're sure about the detention thing, then I'll have to make sure it's something fun at least."

They've now reached the dorm building, and Roy knows he has to get to class, though he's disappointed he won't be able to see which room is hers.

"I've got to go, if I'm going to make it back in time to earn detention." He grins, "But I definitely want to go out sometime. Detention can't last forever, and it's probably only one day, so I should have Friday night off. And I just joined two clubs, so maybe we'll see each other other places too."

((Seeing the future will make playing this RP a lot easier for you! Good character choice. Roy's a bit of a maniplative thinker, so he's probably thinking right now of all the things he might be able to do with such an ability, if he had it. He's a nice guy, but can't help it if his thought process tends toward machinations and sizing people up by their abilities and skills.))
