The desks are split apart, and on each of them is a booklet of writing paper, and a printed sheet, which contains the two questions, which are both on Rome.

"You have one hour," Daniel said. "Good luck."

Thomasina arrives for the examination on time, takes her seat and accepts the booklet and paper when they are handed to her. She spends the rest of the lesson answering the questions carefully and throughly.
