Geology -- First Lab

*When the students enter the room, they will see paired stations complete with mineral samples and guidebooks.*

*The assignment for the day is relatively simple: identify each sample by either size, shape, color, or other characteristic.*

*The punishment for taking any of the samples--and yes, she is watching like a hawk--is organizing her physics notes. Trust me--you don't want to do that.*

Pair up--do the lab. Be sure to sign the roll sheet.

Rory grins - no, beams back.

"It's okay now. I just had something leftover from Saturday night that I had to deal with, but it's going to be okay and...well, I'm really happy about it."

"Well...yeah, I guess that answer works," Rory says with a slight laugh. "Hey, how do you know about cars, anyway?" she asks, shooting him a sidelong look.

I hear people talk about it around town. I mainly hear guys talk about them, I don't know too much about them except they have bright headlights and are fast (which I somehow doubt, the fastest broom in the world can go 150 miles an hour). And when male muggles talk about them it's a lot how we talk about brooms in our world, so I assume they're used to play sports or something.

"Ahh..." Rory says, nodding and smiling. "Yeah, "Muggle" (*air-quotes*) guys tend to obsess over cars...my ex-boyfriend actually built me a car...and then my other ex-boyfriend crashed it...."
