301--Final Project

This is it, gang. what we've been working towards. Everything I've tried to teach you will help you survive this final task.

You are going to ask for something. Sounds easy, hmm? Not really. You are going to knowingly and willfully employ hegemony to generate reciprocity from one of two people. Dean Bristow agreed to this and I really hope he can still play it Friday, as did Red. Today I'll help you. We've prepped a bit, but now it gets intense because I will not send you into battle without a plan. Ok?

Choose your audience, and choose your request. I'll be checking and if you need help, ask.

Ok, kids. Go.

[Jack starts scribbling things down on paper.] It doesn't have to be Homecoming every week -- in fact, if it was, it'd stop being a good morale boost. But having something to look forward to on a regular basis helps keep people from freaking out.

Cost outlay? It is something that would probably fall under Student Council, so whatever teacher oversees that could probably oversee this, which would take more of his or her time. Materials for posters and the like, and costs for events would be the biggest gross costs. [Scribble scribble scribble.] But I would argue that a lot of the cost would be absorbed by the improved morale. Less time wasted by both teachers and students in dealing with problems. While it's not easy to *quantify* the cost, it is a practical benefit, not just an intangible benefit.

[Jack hands over the pages with the notes on cost that he's made for CJ to review.]

Right. We've got the rest of the week on this, right?

[Drops his voice.] Oh, and something else... I can borrow your credit card, right?

No, no. Christmas shopping. Only in town, I swear.
