Journalism Class - Monday December 12

The cat is sitting atop Spider's desk, curled up in his santa hat. She is guarding a small whiteboard on which is written the following:

"Due to massive, four day bender in celebration of my freedom... (Note to self: Tell Krycek and Gavin about freedom and also remind them to clean litterbox) ... I've been a bit busy and in my excitement seem to have gotten a bit ahead of myself. Your final project is due next Friday... I think. Check up on that. Also? Mistletoe, blended with certain recreational beveridges is ulga fan todlies."

The writing degenerates into scribbling, complete with tiny sketches of stick figures being strung up by their necks and the occasional maniacal laugh, with four exclamation points. Eventually, it becomes coherent again. "For today's classwork, go to The New York Times website and write about something there that captures your interest. Try to capture mine as well. Bring a butterfly net and some bourbon."

John signs in and gets to work.

King Kong comes out on Wednesday. It's a remake yes, but it's Peter fricking Jackson, dude. Lord of the Rings Peter Jackon! There's a small section in the right hand corner and a brief article about the movie, praising it for his sweetness as much for it sensationalism. This will not be one of the old King Kong movies, filled with bad props and stunts. This will be an awesome display of CGI and acting. It's King Kong, man. The big ape himself as done by the man who brought us the hobbits!
