"Good afternoon, class," Daniel says. "First things first." He looks down at his grade book. "Edward Elric, Lily Evans, you both have detention this weekend for missing three classes.

Now." He shut the book. "Last lesson we discussed the Valley of the Kings. Today, I want the Valley of the Queens.

And for homework, I want you to chose about a tomb found in either of the Valleys and write a report on it for me. Have a good weekend guys."

Lana has *clearly* been spending too much time with Shep, based on the irreverent ideas that pop into her head. However, being a mostly not very good girl. She simply signs in to listen to what people have to say. (And turns in any homework that was due.)

Michael signs in and sits quietly. He has this niggly feeling at the back of the neck that tells him trouble is coming.

Cameron takes a seat and ignores Vala as he listens attentively to the class and pipes up when necessary.

Vala signs in and takes one look at Cam. Sighing at his continuingly pissy mood, she flops sits down on the opposite side of the room and ignores him right back.

After class ends, Daniel stops her.

"Vala, about your, uh, pre-pageant, uh story," he begins.

"Yes, Dan-- Dr. Jackson?"

"I was very curious about who was responsible for the knowledge you displayed last night."

"Oh," she frowned. "Well I've been trying to figure all of this out and I went shopping for Crissmass decorations with a bunch of other students, and Angel and John were really good about answering my questions." She frowns. "But then Cam set me straight on a few things they had all messed up, like explaining the whole thing with the barn that freaked Angel out, and how Santa's not gay, even if they did set him up with the toaster."

"Oh, and Jarod -- over at Caritas? -- he said there were Crissmass Ghosts too, and one of them I think was called Dickins, but Cam was afraid I'd just get confused again, so he said not to worry about that."

She pauses and frowns. "I still don't know why the camel was in the barn though. That's been bugging me. Do you know? Because I think the camel is my favorite part -- aside from all the lights and sparklies...."


((ooc: BTW, that whole opening act bit *was* completely spur-of-the-moment on Bristow-mun's part. He actually *did* shanghai me -- just by AIM -- and I wrote that whole mess out from scratch and posted it in, like 10 minutes flat! *still boggled* Having a Master's in Comparative Religions myself, I am just having *too* much fun confusing the hell out of poor Vala... not that it's hard to do at this school! ;-)))

Daniel winces slightly, but nods. "I see," he says. "As for the camel being in the barn, Jerusulem is a Middle Eastern country and camels would be used as a form of transport. One Christmas myth is that the wise men rode in on them, but there's no mention of them in the Bible."
