"Good morning, guys," Daniel says, with a smile, before looking serious. "Just to get it out of the way... Chihaya, Death and Susan Ivanova all have detention tomorrow for missing three classes. People, if you miss a class, notes are good, and come to see me to get make-up work.

Right, today we're going to start looking at famous anthropologists. Now, who knows anything about the Leakey Family?

Okay, homework from Wednesday on my desk. For this weekend, I want a timeline of the Leakeys and also, a hundred words on the Leakey Foundation. That's for Monday. Have a great weekend."

Ivanova signs in, hears his first words, and headdesks. "Dammit." She sighs, raises her head, and says, "The Leakeys . . . footprints in volcanic ash, or something like that?" She scres up her face as she tries to remember what she learned. "The family made a bunch of finds . . . did they discover Lucy? Er, Austrolopithecus afarensis which I can spell without looking at notes!, I mean."

Anders signs in and, not being from Earth, of course knows nothing about the Leakey family. He does, however, take careful notes for the weekend's homework.

Sharon notices that Daniel is, in fact, oddly tall. But she signs in anyway.

*DEATH walks into the class and does jazz hands in the professors general direction, seemingly unconcerned with the detention. Detention, after all, is part of the school experience.*

Ivanova hands it in. And the mun promptly runs away to continue studying for her exam.

Anders heads up to Daniel's desk with a slight limp and hands in his homework, done a little less meticulously than the homework he turned in on Wednesday, but complete anyway. (He blames the pageant, really.)

Daniel smiles at Anders. "Thank you, Samuel," he says. "And well done on your pageant performance last night. It was certainly, uh, interesting."

Anders suddenly trips on a nonexistent bump in the floor at Daniel's words, and he turns a brilliant shade of red. "Erm." He coughs, maybe a bit too loudly. "Uh, thanks, Professor Jackson, sir."

As he turns to leave, he mutters under his breath, "Lords of Kobol, hear my prayer, and guide the souls of my fellow students and teachers to forget last night ever happened. So say we all."

Handing in her homework, Sharon shakes her head, distracted by thoughts of famous anthropologists that don't include Dr. Jackson.

*The Death of Rats can be seen scribbling franticallly on a peice of parchmant and then scampers up to leave it on the professors desk.

DEATH, however, in an apparent post-pageant daze, continues with his jazz hands.*
