As the students enter the classroom, They'll see and outdoor setting with multiple carts (the size of a Cooper mini) standing in front of a river.

The fact that the river is a mauve color should not be questioned.

"Today's assignment is to build a bridge or transport that will allow you to take the cart over from this side of the river to the other. There are various types of natural materials available around you and any tools you need will be made available."

Mac looks up from class and sees Jenny at the Door. "Ms. Calendar! So glad you dropped by. How are you doing today?"

"Things are looking up," said Jenny. "We have mulled cider in the faculty lounge. You?"

"Pretty good. I probably won't make it over to the lounge as I've got Study Hall duty today."

Mac waves to the wooded environment around them with the mauve river.

"But this is what I was talking about yesterday. Say hello to the Danger Room Shop. The uh... river isn't supposed to be that color. You see why I asked for your help."

Jenny gives the river an amused look. "It's pretty, though. I know a student with a purple frog. Bet he'd feel right at home." She studied the river for a minute, watching the students build their rafts. "Now this? Is pretty darn advanced. But I'll take a crack at it. Got a technical manual I can borrow?"

Mac pulls out a manual with a strange langauge where he has written english on top of it. "Remember when I said it came from the Shi'ar? Well the manual is written in this language. I got a translation guide from the library and was able to transcribe most of it. It's not exact though."

"There's a translation guide in the library?" asked Jenny. "I have this kick-ass translation program I wrote a few years ago. Does some decrypting too." She took the manual from Mac and studied it. "I wonder if they have a decent OCR program or a font for this stuff they could lend out?"

She glanced back up. "Gotta say, it's still a pretty nice piece of tech, though. What gave you the idea of using it for shop class?"

"Well the idea of doing a simple Shop Class didn't really excite me. So I thought I'd do a little twist and make the students build a solution for various problems. To do that I needed a dynamic environment to make it work... and I found the equipment for sale on e-bay."

"The translation guide was just a book. Wasn't very good either."

Mac gives Jenny a smile.

"I really appreciate your help on this."

"You found this on e-bay?" asks Jenny disbelievingly. "Nice. And I like the idea for shop class. When I was in high school? It was all 'Make your own cutting board. Try not to lose any fingers.'"

Jenny grins at him. "See this? Is a challenge. And I always like a challenge. So not a problem. You think between us we can figure this thing out?"

"You can find anything on E-bay. This internet thing? I think it's going to be big. Glad to hear you like a challenge. I think between the two of us we can get it working right."

Mac takes off his leather jacket and tosses it on a chair and then uses the remote to summon the main console interface for the Danger Room.

"The remote does some of the basic operations, but the console here is where you do the main work. It has an english program interface, but the software is where I start to have problems. I can fix any of the hardware."
