Rehearsal #2

The Dean Principal sits in the theater. The set has been built... they only await... a script.

[OOC: Not using this, but I thought you'd be amused]

Callisto read the script.

Then started hitting herself in the head with it.

Callisto paused, and smiled weakly.

"No Principal Bristow, everything's just...keen."

Rory looked as though she might cry, and then sighed.

"Does the Magical Christmas Tree sing and/or dance, sir?"

"Wow. Lots of drumming." John nods and tries not to pale and faint. "Sir, do I have to dance and drum?" John asks, directly after Rory's asked about dancing as the Three.

"Oh, good." Thank goodness for small favors. "I'm good at drama, at least. I seem to cause it quite well."

Angel took a copy of the script and, in the grand tradition of actors the world over, skimmed it in the Bullshit, bullshit, my line fashion.

He wasn't sure if he should be relieved or insulted that his part seemed fairly innocuous.

Then he started wondering just how sturdy the cables would be that were holding him up.

He hoped Bristow remembered that his kind of vampires couldn't fly.

"Flyboy!" John says jovially.

"Thumper!" Angel called back.

Anders takes a copy of the script and starts skimming over it.

Four lines in, all the color has drained from his face.

Half a page in, he's hyperventilating.

By the time he gets to his first line, he's mentally flailing so hard that he doesn't even realize that is his first line.

Yeah. Rigging those walls to collapse on him would have been a real stroke of genius, but noooooooooo, he had to actually go and do a good job on them . . .

He settles for curling up in a nice, compact fetal position on the floor.

Not even Anders is stupid enough to open his mouth and say "That's not appropriate behavior for my girlfriend and best bud." Which does not stop him from thinking it, although even that may be ill-advised.

He pulls himself to his feet and attempts to look solemn and dignified.

Unfortunately this ends up coming across looking much more like he's just trying to out-sullen Anakin.

Bridge reads the script with a grin, until he gets to the part where he has to kiss Cally.

Not that he thinks it'd be gross or anything, he's sure Cally's a great kisser. But macking on your best friend's girlfriend? Not Cool.

He sighs a little and hopes that maybe Anders won't notice that part.

Re: ACT!

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2005-12-07 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Anders is too busy glowering sullenly at the wall, trying to will it to fall on him, to notice that OMG Bridge might go emo Bridge doesn't look happy about that part.

Re: ACT!

[identity profile] whitedeathpod.livejournal.com 2005-12-07 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
John slides up behind Anders and claps him on the shoulder. "What a script huh? Did you see the part with Cally and..."

Noticing Bridge across from Anders, he stops his sentence. "Oh, guess you did."

Cally stares at the script.

"Erm, sir? Can we, erm... cut the kissing, please? It's umm... against my religion."

Again, John totally does not laugh.

Cally gives her best sad-puppy face. "Are you sure, sir?"
