For once, Veronica beats Piper to class. She sits down and waits for her BFF partner to arrive.

As soon as Piper slides into the seat next to her, she says, "I told Piper that I needed to talk to her about something and she showed concern."

"I showed concern because there was urgency in Veronica's voice," Piper explained, hoping that made sense.

"This is Pathos, the captain's dog on Enterprise. I think he was named for one of Three Muskateers. Isn't he cute?"

Waits for the class to go "Awwww..."

Shep leaves just enough room for the Prof to seriously think this is his speech.
