Office Hours - Maths - Tuesday 06.12

This is Charlie's last open office before the exam on Friday. If anyone has any questions or know they'll be away at that time, now is your chance to let the professor know.

Charlie is sitting by his desk, munching gingerbread numbers and making notes.

Charlie swallowed and nodded. "Yes, I do. What's up?"

"First one's quick," Angel said. "Lily Evans and I were going to have a study group on Thursday night, 8:30, for the Intermediates. We were wondering if maybe you could announce that to the class tomorrow? It'll be in the second floor common room."

Charlie smiled. "Certainly." He grabbed a post it and scribbled it down. "And next?"

"The project we've been working on," Angel said. "I'd like to continue it. I know you started with Angelus and with the souling and all I lost a lot of time. But I'm actually interested in it. It might even be helpful for people back on my world. With the end of semester coming up so soon I thought maybe we could talk about continuing it next term? If - if you don't mind."

Blinking in surprise, Charlie took a moment -- and a number seven gingerbread -- to think about it before nodding slowly. "I intend to stick around for next term as well, so that should be doable. I'm not quite sure what to do with your grades, by the way. I was intending to stop by Professor Jerusalem with the problem today. Do you have a preference?"

Angel frowned. "My - my grades? What's wrong with them?"

"Are you two people? Or the same one? Do I give you Angelus' grades?" Charlie looked as confused as he sounded.


(ooc: skipping off for a brief nap. Will be back in an hour or two.)

"Oh," Angel said as understanding dawned. "For that it's all the same. Angelus is in me. Besides - " Angel gave a slight grin " - if I get punishment for everything he did the least I can get is the benefits of the work he did too."

Charlie grinned. "That sounds fair. Not to mention it makes it much easier for me." He ate a five thoughtfully. "Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?"

"Only to clear up how you want to handle the project next semester," Angel said. "Should I put it down as independant study?"

"I... don't really know?" Charlie frowned. "Let me check with the principal to see how the Indpendent study thing will be run next semester?"

"Sure thing." Angel looked uncomfortable, then reminded himself of his Ethics assignment to talk more. "Prof. Eppes, I wanted to say thanks. When I got here I figured this was going to be my hardest subject. I even thought I might have to fail out. But you gave me a chance and - and I actually think I'm better at some of this than Angelus was. Which normally doesn't happen. So thank you."

Charlie smiled. "You're welcome. And I do think you're doing well," he added. "There's more to math than most people think."

"Really?" Angel's face lit up. "Thanks. I'd love to learn more if I could. This class kinda surprised me. There's not much that ever does that."
