Starting a Small Business

Lorelai sits on her desk, swinging her legs back and forth and eating an apple.

"Okay, gang," she says, once everyone has arrived. "Final projects. We need to figure something out. Obviously you're going to work with your business partner. I'm thinking of a multi-media advertising plan, taking into account everything you've learned about budgets and business plans, but I'm open for suggestions."


[ooc: the mun is totally clueless for a project for this class... but I need something to grade you all on... so suggestions please!]

"How about we, like, try to sell something to the student body? It could be like a contest?" Lilly suggested with a shrug. "We could do, like, a bake sale or a something."

"That's not a bad idea, Lilly. What about trying to convince your fellow students to patronize the mock businesses you and your partners have been creating all semester though?"

"Lily's idea is fine for those offfering an actual product. But Major K and I are offring a service: transportation and import/export. And Ma'am, I didn't bring enough stuff back from Deneb to open a shop with."

He shrugs. "I like the idea of a multimedia blitz."

"Hmm, good point, Han."

She tilts her head to the side, thinking.

"Maybe each team can have a choice. Either attempt to sell your product or service to your classmates or create an advertising campaign. Pretty much the same idea. I'll think about that."
