Spider has an ice pack on his head, a complicated schematic on his desk and a scowl on his face. There is no sign of the cat.

"Today, students, I want you to write me a short piece explaining either why you chose the subject that you did for your final or, and allow me to emphasize the fact that this is not a happy 'or' as your failure to do so will count against your grade.... Allow me to remind you that the deadline was November 28. Or you can write me a short piece explaining why you have not chosen a subject and scheduled your interview yet."

He gave them a dark look. "Anyone who has not chosen a subject and arranged an interview by the end of the day and posted the pre-requisite information in the homework thread will lose any hope for a B. You have already lost your chance at an A. Failure to clear your appointment with D'anna by Friday will make your life a great deal more difficult, so I suggest you begin now."

John starts writing.

While I've chosen my subject and made attempts to contact him, the fact is LJ is a whore and is not delivering notifications I've been unable to connect with him on a solid interview date. I'm not sure if he's still out of town or if he's just not answering. I do have a means of taking my own photography so I just need Duo to get up with me so we can meet, interview and explore his home.

I chose Bridge because I've known him, thus far, to be a very kind and multi-faceted person. His culture and prior training is very different from everything I've known, and I knew that he would be more than willing to share his world with both me and any readers of my article.

Xander allows hmself a moment to both weird and smug about having actually taken care of the required part of the assignment already, then starts writing.

I first thought of Edward Scissorhands because he's obviously a pretty odd -- some would even say scary -- looking guy, and I figure there's got to be an interesting story behind those Freddy Krueger hands of his. But the more I thought about the way he acts -- kind of quiet and shy and not Freddyliscious at all -- the more it seemed like there's probably also a story to tell about how some people who look scary aren't.

"Hey," she says quietly. "You're the one who called me about Logan and Rory, right?"

Xander nods. "Yeah, Logan asked me to give you a call after I got him to the clinic that night. He was worried Angelus might go after you next - nobody was sure at the time if the soul thing had stuck."

Xander blinks. "Me?" He scratches his head. "I mean... sure, I guess. Don't know if you can get four hundred words out of 'This is Xander; he has a purple frog,' though."

Jack takes a seat and begins writing.

I have not chosen a subject or scheduled an interview yet because I do not know what the final is. I have been locked in the clinic against my will for the worse part of nearly a month. As a result I have missed way too many classes and have no idea what is going on in most of them.

I would like to request a slight extension so that I may figure out what the fucking hell I'm suppossed to be doing and how long it will take.

Connor sits down to write. He has no valid excuse, exceot that his mind has been preoccupied with other things. He sighs and starts writing anyway.

I would like to interview Jack O'Neill, if I may, despite him being a fellow Journalism student. I haven't talked to him at all, especially with him being stuck in the clinic for so long.

I chose Bagoas BorteIcan'tfreakingspellit as the subject for my piece, but unfortunately haven't seen him in classes and his contact information has apparently changed, so I haven't been able to set up an interview. I will track down his boyfriend to day and beat the information out of him if I have to! ask him for current contact information. I chose him because he seems like an interesting person and I'd like to get to know him better. This assignment affords me a legitimate excuse to speak with him.

I chose DEATH because it's not every day that one gets to meet such an entity as death. Furthermore, not many have a name that is so obviously in SMALL CAPS. I have contacted him, and we are reasonably certain that we're doing the interview on Monday.
