Bridge takes the gloves gratefully and slips them on, shoving the stupid blue mittens into a pocket.

"Because they block my abilities. It gets kind of annoying always seeing people's auras and sensing stuff they maybe don't want me to. Which, there was actually something I needed to talk to you about. Last night? I had a dream, well, okay, I dream every night, that's hardly unusual, but this was different because it wasn't my dream. It was, um, Rory Gilmore's."

Dream drums his forefingers against the opposite arms, listening. He thinks back, trying to find the dream Bridge is referring to.

Eventually, it appears in his forebrain, and he winces in sympathetic pain. "The violence," he says, simply. "It is intense, for such children as you and Rory."

"I... yeah. It was terrifying, and I think it must've been worse for her... because I'm pretty sure that was actually happened."

Dream thinks about this, then nods, slowly. "I believe you are right.

"Miss Gilmore is in some of my classes. She should not --" he clenches his fists. "She should not know such memories, yet. Nor should you see such things."

"I could talk to her. Does she know of your skill?"

"Yeah," Bridge nods. "We got talking about... stuff, the other day, and she said she'd be willing to let me practice on her, if I ever needed to."

"That's a start, then," Dream says. "I will ask her to come to my office tomorrow."

His eyes flicker down to the gloves. "Do you plan to continue wearing those most of the time?"

"I usually do... it makes things easier for everyone, really," Bridge eyed Dream curiously. "Why?"

Dream gives a slight smile. "Seers interest me, Mr. Carson. Your gifts are considerable. And I like to know who else may be strolling about the Dreaming. No other reasons."
