The Doctor's School Office Hours: Tuesday
[The Doctor reads fast. He's finished Thomas Hobbes, and is now working his way through Rousseau's The Social Contract in the original French, which is definitely less funny. If there's a reason he's going through the pantheon of Enlightenment political philosophy, it's not for you to know.
He idly bounces what looks like a superball off the floor, occasionally setting it down for a sip of coffee.
bounce.
bounce.
thud.
The latter would be his head, hitting the desk.]
((And for some reason I'm not getting notifications. Drop an OOC line here if you need me.))

[His brow furrows.] Are you keeping an eye out for him, John? Not because he'll do something violent, but because something violent might be done to him?

More fidgeting. "I am, sir. I'm not the best...fighter, per se, but I've told Angel I'll do what I can to help him keep his soul."

"Well sir, I think it's all a matter of making sure Angel has the help he needs when these people do come after him. And, now this'll sound weird, it also keeping him from achieving perfect happiness. Both could lead to him getting re-desouled."

Mr Crichton...John...you do realise that if Angel were to be...desouled...that you would be in terrible danger?

At the Doctor's last statement, John nods slowly. "Yes, sir, I do. My girlfriend, Aeryn, she's nailed that into my head. I'm...I know it might happen but I'm trying to do a good thing. I just wanna help Angel."
