Cyborg Theory

To continue last week's class, I want you all to get with your partner or group and work on your stories. Please give me the name of your main character(s) by the end of the evening.

[[Again, this can just be fanfiction so, for example, Lee and Sharon can write Sharon's Cylon Bebi Angst! fic or whatever. We'll discuss the stories in a most general sense when you turn them in next Monday, yes? *loves*]]

Just because you're a hamster doesn't mean you can't finish your homework, love.

Cally looks around.

"Wait... Beka's a hamster?!"

Since her partner appears to be pre-disposed, Cally starts jotting down notes for a new story.

Where Samson J Ambers, cylon-hunter extraordinaire, fights off the hordes of evil roboty cylons with the help of his beautiful buxom sidekick, Kalli. They totally make out in the middle of the story, and the focus on the cylon killing kinda fades away, but in the end, all the cylons are dead, cause Samson and Kalli are just that awesome, yo. And they skip off merrily into the sunset.

Mmm. BEBIES.

Lee starts to ponder what would happen if that handsome waiter guy Karl would be a good protagonist in the story.

Sharon sighs wistfully about the lack of tall, thin, handsome guys named Karl to rub her back and make her give them crap about their lollipops.

[dead in ten minutes. sorry.]

"I think a story about a tall pilot and his enigmatic robot lover and their child would be great."

I fear the two of you. Honestly.

Sam sits and waits for Bridge. She's not sure, but it's possible that her story idea may get her booted out of class.

She makes notes in her notebook: Romance. Flaming fiery death. Evil cyborg? Naah, too predictable. Maybe human?

Bridge comes in, wearing an expression that on others might be called "mildly upset", but on Bridge is called "sullen".

He peers over at her scribbled notes. "I vote for evil human."

"Evil human. Check." Maybe she wouldn't flunk out of class after all--Eighth should like that angle. She noticed Bridge's disposition. "You okay?"

"I lost my gloves so I'm stuck with mittens," he says mournfully, taking one hand out of his pocket and waving it feebly.

"Um...I'm sorry?" Sam wasn't sure exactly what to say. "I guess that's going to be tough to work around in shop tomorrow, huh?"

Go at it, hotshots.

Aeryn is determined not to yell at anyone this week.

John winks at Aeryn.

~~Because zomg time zones suck and she has time~~ Aeryn smiles back at him.

Kawalsky is determined not to watch Aeryn yell at anyone this week.

"So how about a story about a regular guy, Ron Weepton, who gets stuck on the other side of the galaxy, with weird aliens and things he doesn't understand and he has to get home."

*sekritly stares at the three of you*

John signs in and leans back in his chair ~~oh so sexily.~~

*stares*

Anakin ~~that Vegas stud~~ smiled at the professor before joining John and beginning to work on the amazing adventures of Lola Fallatapus.

"Hey Anakin," John says, not noticing the stares they're getting. "Good holiday break?"

Anakin grinned back, not quite so oblivious to the stares, but taking it as a matter of course ~~cocky bastard~~. "It was good. Vegas is a lot of fun. Have you ever been?"

"Vegas? Nope, but I wanna go." John keeps leaning back and chews on the end of his pen. "You came back so you didn't lose everything gambling, at least."

"Turns out gambling's not as hard as it seems," Anakin said. "Roulette's a lot of fun. You should totally go."

Please tell me here who you're going to write about.

Team ~~Oh So Sexay~~ Crichton/Skywalker/Thrace has decided to write about:

Lola Fallatapus, a call girl robot surviving on the mean streets in the future where call girls are endangered species.

I'm surprised Miss Thrace agreed to this plotline.

"It was her idea," John lie and laughs.

Eighth's opinion of Kara Thrace begins to lessen immediately. "Oh really?"

"Nah," John says. "Just kidding. That's just a name for the character. We've got plans for the rest of the story."

Kara kicks John in the head.

"Ouch, dammit," John says and rubs his sore head.

Kara gives him a big smile. "Good to see you, too, John."

"Oh, I missed you so, Kara," John grouses. "Besides, this was just the character's name. I figured we could insert you with a different name and you could be blowing up the robots or something. And me and Anakin will fight over Lola. Or something."

"We could do that," Anakin said, nodding enthusiastically. "Of course, I guess our names would have to be something else so no one would know it was us."

"Hmmm, I wanna be Zip Brannigan," John says and nods. "Yeah, and I wanna carry a ray gun!"

"Ooh, that's good. I want to be, um, ~~Obi-Wan~~ ~~Darth Maul~~ Luke Darklighter. Yeah. He's an, um, intergalactic ninja. With a lightsword." He grinned. "Nothing that stops him from being with women or anything, though. He makes his own rules."

Kara rolls her eyes. "Riiight..."

Cally, having given up on Beka, turns in the following:

"Sounds exhilarating! I look forward to it, dear."

"We're going to be writing a romance, between a human (Johnny Slate) and a cyborg (Sophie--Series One Processor Hyper Intelligent Encryptor). I don't know what happens, but one of them is evil and one of them is going to die a horrible, fiery death. There may be a betrayal involved."

Me and Aeryn are writing about Ron Weepton, a regular joe who's stuck on the other side of the galaxy. The catch is that there are cyborgs after him that look human, but they aren't human, and he had some kind of machine implanted in his head and he has to deal with that.
