Flight Club meeting [Tuesday early evening--plenty of time before Caritas]
Anakin opened up the door to the flight simulator shed and set up the chairs for another movie. With the excitement leading up to the holiday, he didn't really expect a lot of drama at the club tonight.
He looked over at the crowd. "Couple of things. First of all, I talked with Dean Bristow and he's okay with us doing some actual flying as long as we don't break atmosphere. Not great for flying space-based stuff, but until we're good to go on simulators, I don't really want us crashing into the sun and dying anyway. There is a new shop in town--Ivanova knows the owner--that's willing to teach us how to fly airplanes, which is very cool. We'll be having a trip over there after the holidays."
He gestured at the simulator. "I've set her controls for a YT-1300 Corellian stock freighter. You might know the type better as what the Millennium Falcon began life as." He smiled at Han. "Not quite sure what you've done to her controls, but I'm guessing they're not exactly factory-spec any more."
He cleared his throat. "And if you want a chance to head off world for the holiday, Han has room for up to three people to go with him back to a planet called Deneb. If you've always wanted to stand on a planet that isn't this one and you can convince your guardian that you should totally be allowed to go, well, here's your chance."
He pointed over at the movie screen. "And if your brains are too fried to even thinking about flying tonight, I've brought out a movie called Pearl Harbor. The history, I've been told, isn't exactly accurate and there's really no way the pilots could shift that quickly from flying fighters to flying bombers, but the explosions are cool and the nurses are kinda hot."

He would also wonder if the giant hunk o' junk that Jayne left behind was ever going to be able to lift off.

[[ooc: actually, that's pretty much canon. "For all her ramshackle look, she's in excellent condition and far faster than when she was built."--Ben Kenobi, radio drama Think pickup truck, but souped up for racing]]

Watch Pearl Harbor
Re: Watch Pearl Harbor
Because meta jokes are awesome.Re: Watch Pearl Harbor
flying her own spaceship again!!!mourning over some dead relative or something, Vala isn't much interested in flying the simulator. Plus it seems to give Cam weird freak-outs.She figures she's better off kicking her feet up, grabbing some popcorn, and watching the movie.

Talk to Han about going to Deneb
Re: Talk to Han about going to Deneb
"Deneb 4 is an agricultural world with a tech level almost like Earth's. They've got space travel, and higher medicine, but that's about it. We got a single cabin and a double free, and double means double bunk, not two beds. We're going to pick up some basic supplies, and get sme repair stuff we can't get here."
Talk to Anakin
