Dream is propped in an armchair, rereading a book in Arabian.

In honor of the holiday, he has put a variety of supplies -- including crayons, paint, pumpkins, socks, construction paper, apples, raisins, marshmallows and more -- for Thanksgiving Crafts on a table near the front of the room. A sign above them reads, "Do not throw the raisins. Happy Thanksgiving."

John chooses his words carefully. "He's...yeah, he's not evil anymore. Better? Well, he's dealing with a lot so I wouldn't classify him as better."

"And yes, Aeryn knows. Is she happy about it? Not particularly."

"Yeah, I know how that goes," Sam sympathized, remembering Jolinar. "Is he a completely different entity, or is he still part Angelus?"

She sighed with relief. "Good." Aeryn would watch John's back like a hawk, especially if she was suspicious.

"From what he says, Angelus is still inside him but the soul gives Angel the control." John taps his pencil against his desk. "I wanted to tell you so you wouldn't be surprised to see him. And to tell you not to worry about me with him in the room."

"So he's just like everybody else, now." Sam wasn't sure whether that made her feel any safer, but she nodded anyway. "Thanks for telling me. That would have been a shock."

"Well, not entirely like everyone. But he's not all Cobra Commander and evil either. And he makes great eggs."

Sam blinked. "You have an recently ensouled vampire staying with you and cooking you eggs?"

She took a bite of apple and chewed slowly. "Yeah, okay, so that doesn't sound any less weird after thinking about it."

"Is he around? I think I'd like to meet him sometime and judge for myself, if that's okay."

"He makes good eggs," John repeats. "And he's got good fashion sense. And yeah, he's around. I think he's going into town tonight but we're usually both around in the morning. And Sam, don't tell anyone else this. I need to do it on my own."

"I guess he's probably not much of one for early morning jogs, huh? I'll stop by or run into him sometime." Sam smiled. "I won't tell anyone about this. It's a pretty hot button topic though--you sure you're ready for all the flak you're going to get?"

Thinking of Angelus's more colorful friends and their undoubtedly hostile reaction, she asked, "And you'll ask if there's anything I can help you with? I don't want to see you hurt just because you're a good guy."

"I know I'm gonna take some heat. I'm prepared. I still need to tell Janet. And Parker. That last one is the one I'm worried about."

"And yeah," John says with a grateful smile, "I'll ask for help if I need it. Got no problems doing that."

"Yeah, um, good luck with that." Parker probably wasn't going to take that at all well. She took another bite of apple. "Good. What else are friends for, right?"
