Study Hall, 11/22

Dream is propped in an armchair, rereading a book in Arabian.

In honor of the holiday, he has put a variety of supplies -- including crayons, paint, pumpkins, socks, construction paper, apples, raisins, marshmallows and more -- for Thanksgiving Crafts on a table near the front of the room. A sign above them reads, "Do not throw the raisins. Happy Thanksgiving."

"Of course I missed your presence," John laughs, "But I didn't want Rory RIC to get jealous and mess up my boots."

"Where you been hiding yourself, Bridge?" John leans back in his desk. "Haven't you seen around since I gave you the toaster."

"Well, um. There was this thing, with a giraffe, only it was a miniature giraffe, and we couldn't keep it on school grounds so we took it to town where this teacher who was in my giraffe book lives, and he took him and is feeding him artichokes and bread sandwiches."

Bridge pauses for a second before continuing... "oh, yeah, and your toaster is ready for pickup anytime you want."

"You actually found a giraffe? In Fandom?" John laughs and shakes his head. "Sorry I missed that man. You'll have to take pictures to show me."

"And awesome on the toaster front. I'll try to come by tonight after classes or as soon as I can wrangle a free minute."

"Yep." Bridge nods. "His name is Earl. Pictures are a good idea, actually. I sort of told Rory I'd try and smuggle him in to her room at the clinic, but then we had to get him off campus as quick as possible, so maybe I could just bring her some pictures for now."

"Oh, you weren't kidding about the giraffe from the clinic." John laughs again. "I bet that'll cheer her up and piss off the doctors."
