Sydney comes in and takes her seat

Lee looks aghast. He agrees with the sentiment, of course, but gods, what the frak?

Lindsey looks at the board, then at CJ. He starts to open his mouth to say something, but decides he values his life more than that and says nothing. Instead he works on a speech that says that of course boys are stupid. People are stupid and boys are people.

Jack had been dreading class this morning, and now he wished he'd stayed under the covers of his bed, hiding.

[She nearly bounces over to him] Chip, when you get done with classes, I need you to go home and pack some clothes. We're going to see my dad in California and we want you to come with us. We're flying out this evening, and before you ask, no, you don't have a choice. i want my dad to meet my family.

[with a blinding smile and a lilt to her voice...] Lindsey, you look like you want to say something.

[He almost throws up at "pack your clothes", pretty damn sure he was getting tossed out on his ear. The rest? Leaves him gaping at her like a guppy.] Huh?

Lee? What's that face?

[She sighs] Thanksgiving is a traditional American holiday wherein you spend time with your family to remind them why you love them very much as long as they stay far away from you. As part of this culture, you are coming with Ten and I to have dinner with my family. You'll get to meet my brothers, and my dad if he's up to it. and Hogan...and the rule is no hitting on Hogan. No flirting, no being charming. In fact, be a jerk and make her hate you. That would be best.

Ten wants to go to Chinatown and the wharf, and we'll probably do some sightseeing just for you. I love the Bay. It'll be fun.

Get it?

Parker grins blindinglin at C.J., then starts making a list of the ways in which, in fact, boys are stupid.

M:
They don't ask about your feelings.
They don't ask about your friends.
They never talk about their feelings or their friends, even when you've made it clear you'd be okay with that.

J:
They call and then they hang up.
They don't call and don't call and they make you worry.
They actually think that avoiding you is *protecting* you.

A.P.:
Thinks he can conceal existence of ~~boyfriend and girlfriend~~ Significant Other
Does not bring his minions chocolate

A:
Comes by to apologize after a rampage.

Parker smiles sweetly at Lee.

"I could help him, Professor. Really."

Lindsey offers CJ his best innocent look.
"No. I'm good. Really."

Yeah, ok. I still highly recommend those theater courses. What's up?

[ooc: Parker wins. *giggling*]

"I'll see what I can do about theater next semester. Just for you. Nothing's up, really. I was going to say something but I've decided to work it into the speech instead."

Yeah. I got it. [He swallows hard and looks at CJ, looking like a puppy who is beginning to believe he won't get put out of the house.]

That's it? No...jeez, mom, do I hafta? Pfft, I swear, when your paperwork comes through, I'm so kicking your butt.

Paperwork? What paperwork?

[Looking at him with forrowed brows, he just proved her topic from 201] Chip, you didn't think I was going to stop at temporary custody, did you? You've forfeited all say...it's just taking longer because you weren't lucky enough to be a ward of California.

[The guppy impression? Isn't stopping.] Yeah. I mean, I did think... I mean, I didn't think... you want me?

Well, not in a red-lily-take-me-away-from-zombies-and-chickens kind of way...more of a you'll-get-your-own-certificate-soon-over-Chinese kind of way. [She's grinning and it just.does.not.stop.]

Spill it Lindsey, or you're proving my point. [She grins at him, clearly teasing.]

"Nothing, ma'am," Lee says shrewdly before putting pen to paper.

Lee gives Parker a look.
