Sarah has a bunch of electronic equipment spread out on the front desk, She could either be building something or taking it apart -- it could go either way.

Occasionally, she stops to throw a ball to send the puppies and kittens after it and make them stop crawling all over her looking for snuggles.

"Yeah, that would be helpful," Bel said. "I need to take care of a few things." He glanced over at Beka. "Something wrong?"

"Sure. Just say when. Buffy can stay with her too, if you need help with anything." Beka locked gazes with him. "Other than that my best friend is lying to me? No."

She turned her attention back to the three files were up on her computer screen. One, Veronica Mars's official record, which looked clean. Two, a dossier compiled by some obsessive fangirl who wanted to be just like her. And three, a compilation of newspaper articles she'd pulled together the night before.

Right-click, slide. Another clean file opened and she began to type.

"Not lying, protecting. Cool, thanks, I'll let you know," Bel said. He glanced at the laptop screen. "What are you working on?"

"Mmm-hmm. Being protected chafes. Yeah. Do." Her tone might've been slightly acidic. "Your to do list."

She bit her lip and added another note to the working file, before saving it as planetary_rotation.doc.
