Journalism Class - Wednesday November 16

There is a message in bright green scrawled across the screen behind Spider's desk. (Someone needs to take those dry-erase-type markers away from him, really.)

First things first. By November 28 I wish to have the name of the subject for your final project, the date of your appointment for your trip/interview and assurance that you have made an appointment with Ms. Biers.

Secondly, I'd like to see 100 words on who you've chosen (or who you'd like to choose) and why.

Thirdly, please remember not to choose someone who has already been interviewed or featured regularly in a public forum. Again, I want new material if at all possible.

Xander's first instinct had been to call Barbossa - after all, they're worked together on a class project, but they don't know each other all that well, and everybody loves the talk like a pirate guy, right? But it occured to him that everybody also knows the talk like a pirate guy, since he's the regular radio DJ. Pretty much the textbook definition of 'featured regularly in a public forum'.

Instead, he's fixed on another option, after mentally scanning his classes for interesting people who aren't so interesting that they scare the hell out of him. Like, say, Spider.

I'm pretty sure Edward Scissorhands has some physical challenges-- ten of them, at least-- to dealing up close and personal with other students. That's got to make getting to know people a challenge too-- if the first thing you see is some guy with knives for fingers coming at you, you might not stick around to find out he just wants to ask you about the Bio homework. Even if his taste in music is a little frightening, though, I don't think he's as scary as he looks. Maybe an interview would help everybody else to figure that out too.
