Breakfast in the Spider's Parlour

Continued from this entry for legibility reasons.

Phoebe, Pyro and Krycek have breakfast with their employer.

"Awfully limiting," Krycek commented. "So this trip is off the books, so to speak?"

"Anything worth doing's off the books," Pyro quipped. "If they're watching you, y'think that means they'll be keeping an eye on the three of us too?"

Krycek cocked his head, thinking about that. "Great. But, sir, won't it be more than a little obvious if you publish a story based on off-campus goings-on?"

"Active social calendar," Pyro mumbled under his breath, thinking for a second, and then nodded. Damn. He'd probably have to get around to joining some club or other, just so he'd have an alibi for anything that might happen, Spider-related or otherwise. Apparently, sitting around in one's room reading and playing with matches didn't count as an active alibi. "Seconding that."

Shrugging, Krycek conceded. "Problem solved then."

After a moment, Krycek carefully asked, "What is this punishment for?" He glanced at Spider, seeming innocently curious.

Phoebe looked at Alex when he asked. He was definitely braver than she was about that question.

Pyro nodded in agreement with the others, remaining silent this time. If one's boss was in trouble for some reason, one had better know why after all, right?
