[He staggers back, just a step, into the chair, and sits down hard. It's a moment before he can really say much of anything, and then his voice is quiet.] I...didn't know. And what do you want me to do now? Apologise? Throw myself at your feet and beg for forgiveness? I can do that.

[He rolls his eyes and sneers.] I didn't come here to ask you to grovel, Ten. As if I think you'd actually mean it anyway.

[Geoff takes a step backward toward the door.] You know, now that I think about it...I'm really not sure why I came here.

[His voice is hurt, arms crossed across his chest as if protecting himself.] Because you care, perhaps? Or cared, past tense.

[very quietly] But I'll still be here, even when you're done with the righteous rage.

[Geoff turns and stalks out the door, letting it slam loudly behind him.]

[After he leaves, Ten spins to face the window. He looks out, elbows on his knees, face in hands.] What the hell?!

[If anyone does knock, he won't answer for a while.]
