"Yeah, so.." He changed the subject. "Hockey went pretty good this week. Not a big turn out, but the people who did show up are starting to get the hang of skating. Think next week we can probably start on puck-handling, and maybe figure out who to train as goalies."
"Well, Coach Bombay - the guy running the rink in town - is letting us use one of the equipment rooms down there so we don't have to haul stuff back and forth every week. Plus I got us a discount on skate hire. It fits in with the budget for the club. We, uh, had a little problem last week that I didn't get to tell you about and I should've. Someone got into the equipment room and put girly stickers all over the pucks and sticks and practice jerseys."
"I have some ideas on who it might be, but if it is them, it was harmless fun and I don't really want them to get into trouble. The stickers can be taken off. I was wondering if you'd let me handle it, as the squad organizer. I'd report back to you on the invesigation and all that. I think I'll be able to find out more than anything official. Underhanded tactics and all that." He would understand if the answer was no, but there was no harm in trying.
He eyes Charlie. "Okay. I'll trust you to handle it, but if anything else happens, come talk to me. And if possible? I think that the culprit should get most of the work removing those stickers."
