Deep Thoughts Club Meeting [5PM FST]

Anakin dragged himself into the band room classroom and propped the door open.

He pulled a book from his pocket and scrawled on the blackboard:

"Those with the greatest awareness have the greatest nightmares."--Gandhi. Do you think that's true?

He reached into the junk food drawer and grabbed a Twinkie, then collapsed into a desk chair and closed his eyes. He could be thinking. He could be napping. It's kind of hard to tell.

Dreams, nightmares. Come on and share.

I had a nightmare that I was slept with a space hooker. And no -- it really was a nightmare.

Dude. Fishing dreams are the scariest!

I always have these dreams where all the people I iknow are turning into each other, and I'm following them, and I try to talk to them, and I can't.

I wonder if they, like, mean something.

Maybe all of your friends are shape-shifters? I knew a shape-shifter dude one time. His.. uh.. it's name was Station. It totally turned into two Station dudes. Or or maybe.. maybe you hit your head?

"..." Angela's mouth opens and closes a few times.

"I don't think I know any shape-shifters, unless Jake Gavin counts, and I don't dream about him. And I didn't hit my head.

But it's an interesting idea."

"Or! Maybe you ate too much sugar. That can give you ~~diabetes~~ weird dreams."

"I don't really like sweet things," Angela totally lies. "I think it's just ... one of those things. You know."

She gives a polite half-smile. "I'm Angela Chase, by the way. You;re the music teacher, right?"

"That's me! I'm Ted 'Theodore' Logan. When I'm not teaching, I'm part of a rock band called Wyld Stallyns."

"Oh, cool. My friends back home had a band." She debates explaining the whole story, but decides it's not worth it. "What do you do in the band?"

"Uh, vocals and guitar. And I pose a lot. Posing is important," Ted nods.

"You think? I mean, I guess posing can make a band, but ... I never really thought about it." she frowns. "But really, like, all of life is posing."

Ted thought about that for almost a minute, then nodded. "Life is posing. That's deep."

"That's why I come here, Professor Logan."

Angela snags a twinkie from Anakin's stash, because she totally deserves it, and contemplates life as a pose some more.

I dream that I am killing people with no remorse - even as they beg for mercy.

What if they offer you a bribe? Would you kill them then? Like.. say.. Twinkies? No one can resist the power of Twinkies!

Michael looks at him curiously, not quite sure what to make of their advisor. "No," he says finally. "I, uh, don't think I could even be bribed with Twinkies in these dreams."

[OOC: I LOVE your Ted so much!! If either of my characters had any semblance of musical ability I'd have joined your class!]

"Dude." Ted looks impressed. "That's pretty deep if you could even resist Twinkies. What about hot pockets?"

Michael shakes his head warily, "No, I'm afraid not. I think perhaps that is why this is a nightmare."

"Ohhh. Riiight. I had a nightmare once. Only I was awake, but dead. Does that count as a nightmare? I totally possessed my Dad. It was excellent!"

Michael thinks again that there are more strange beings at Fandom High... "Well, yes, I'd think being dead and possessing your father would count as a nightmare. I'd certainly think so if it had happened to me. Uh... so, you were dead once?"

[OOC: Well, feel free to confuse Michael any time. ;) ]

"Only for a little while. See, me and Bill - he's my ~~hetero life mate~~ best friend - we had these heinous evil dudes send evil robot 'us's back in time to kill us and take our place. They totally killed us by throwing us off a cliff, those medieval dickweeds! But then we went to Hell, and beat Death at Twister and Battleship, so took us up to Heaven, and then we mugged these guys and stole their clothes and snuck into heaven. And.. well.. long story short, we got our lives back and kicked the shiny metal asses of the evil robot 'us's."

Michael's mind boggled and seized up somewhere around the 'beating Death at Twister' part, so he just nodded hoping that was an appropriate response. "Must have been, um... 'heinous'"

Ted nodded. "Totally."

"Well, I'm glad you managed to, um... get your lives back. You sound like you've had some very interesting experiences in your life."

"I have a time travelling phone booth. That makes life way more interesting than without it. If it wasn't for that phone booth, I'd probably be working back at Waterloo or Piggy Wiggy in San Dimas."

"A time-travelling phone booth?" Now *that* sounded intriguing. "I imagine it would have to make things more interesting. Where have you gone with it?"

"Well, uh," Ted has to think about this for a moment. "In high school, we had this history project, so we went back in time and got all of these historical figures to present for us. So.. we got Napoleon, who's a total dick by the way, and Genghis Khan. He loves Twinkies for the excellent sugar rush. Sigmund Frood, Noah's wife, Billy the Kid - he's one excellent dude - oh, and Beethoven and Abraham Lincoln. And we picked up this medieval babes, they're part of our band now. So I've been all over!"

Michael raised an eyebrow. "You've led an even more interesting life than I'd thought originally," he replied. "Genghis Khan loves twinkies? That could have saved an awful lot of bloodshed if people had found out about that earlier."

I often have nightmares at night, mostly about my family. Sometime it seems as though my Father, my uncle, and myself all blend together, as though I am the murderer who desires my Mother. I worry about what they mean about my inner self.

"Nothing terribly healthy, I'm betting," Anakin said. "I keep having these recurring dreams about this swirling black cape and this heavy breathing. And not the good kind of heavy breathing, either."

Black is a very stylish colour, and I suspect you'd look impressive it in, but those do seem odd. Anything else from these dream of yours?

I also sometimes worry that I am going to end up killing everyone I know. I have these vivid dreams where I'm back at home, and my friends and family are all lying dead in our fencing salle and Horatio is holding me ~~in his strong, manly arms as I die.~~

Anakin blinked a few times. "Yeah, that's been kind of a thing in the last few days." His eyes stared into the distance. "They worried my old teacher enough that I have to go home this weekend and see one of the Masters about them." He swallowed nervously. "Not one of my favorite things, but if I can go to sleep again, I'll do it."

They have something to deal with that? Well, I wish you luck. If you are able to find a way to repress these nightmares, please share your advice with me.

Because he's such a fun, bubbly kind of guy.

"Hey, Anakin," Beka called from the doorway, on her way to class. "Totally spaced that I have Arthurian Traditions til 8:30. You still good for a late trip down to the shop?"

Anakin nodded. "Sounds fine."

"Great. I'll meet you at the fountain ~~the door to Phale's shop.~~"
