Study Hall -- Thursday, November 10th

At the front desk, Sarah is teaching the puppies to attack a tiny toy robot. Most of them are gnawing cutely at it.

Due to the fond looks everybody has been casting at the corner of the room, she's brought the pool table back.

Parker flicked it off with one long fingernail, then critically examined Sam and shrugged. "I don't see anything else. Although that shirt's a dead loss. Pumpkin flinging?"

"Thanks," she said, shooting Crichton a dirty look. "Someone was going to let me walk around wearing pumpkin goo all afternoon. And the shirt's Jack's, so I was counting it as a loss anyway."

"We had to build a contraption out of stuff we found in the junkyard, then see whose machine flung the pumpkin the furthest and most accurately."

Parker chuckled. "Glad it's Jack's and not yours. How is he doing, by the way? And whose machine won?"

"I thought ahead," Sam replied. "I don't know how he's doing--I haven't made it into the clinic in a couple of days because I've been too busy trying to catch up on Independent Study work I should have been doing all along."

She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, grimacing as it got stuck in a little bit of dried pumpkin. "And he's not back and I haven't gotten the traditional 'please get him out of the clinic before we kill him' phone call. I don't know what to think."

"I can't tell you who won because we haven't finished playing that scene out yet."

Parker looked sympathetic, then smirky. "We could go pay him a visit. Again. Just to let him know we care," she added as innocently as possible.

"Ah. I'll root for yours from the sidelines. Possible run a book on it."

"And maybe I'll go buy those body paints, show him what he has to look forward to," she said slyly.

"We could," Sam grinned. "You might want to wear your galoshes, though."

"Put me in for ten."

She blushed and immediately looked around for Hammond out of habit. "Maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea. Especially if it helps him to get better faster."

Parker grinned. "Later tonight, then. After I get the paints. Mocha, right? Any other flavors that 'someone' would appreciate?"

[identity profile] carter-i-am.livejournal.com 2005-11-10 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mocha...and anything but bubblegum."

Snickering, Parker nodded. "Well, yeah, wouldn't want O'Neill to have *that* reaction again, would we. Don't worry, I'll get a selection."

"No, we really wouldn't. Especially...well, you know." She smiled, still blushing, and was unable to believe she was having this conversation in public, without fear of repercussion.
