Criminal Justice, Class 18
[OOC: It's like the anti-Mad Lib. Class Info Post.]
Okay, class! On Tuesday, I handed outinsert book title here and assigned the first fifty pages. The first section is highly subjective, so I want to know what you thought author was talking about. What point was gender-related pronoun, likely male trying to make, and how does it apply to our sense of Justice number of years after publication date years later?
But first I thought it might be useful to know more aboutauthor's background. Author was born in English-speaking country in some year. Gender pronoun, likely masculine went to some fancy school, I'm sure and went on to write probably a whole bunch of books on the theory of Criminal Justice. Author spent some years as a lawyer? maybe judge? or maybe a prisoner. who knows? something that gave him a solid perspective before doing something significant which is why we're talking about him in the first place, whomever he is.
Now, let's hear your thoughts!Facts about the book and what it specifically said must be struck. Opinions and interpretations may look however you'd like.
Also, just so you know, we will be having a short quiz next Thursday. It will be just a brief overview of what we've talked about the past several weeks since the last test. Nothing to worry about too much!

The authordeals almost entirely in the hypothetical! Since it's based entirely on thought, it can be very hard to bring it into the real world. Well done!"no subject
of course he was a man, only men are this pretentiouswas trying to say that crime is bad because it's a drain on society and a real morale-killer," Jaye says. "I think. He was pretentious."no subject
[OOC: Yes, I'm going to ask for details on everyone's points.]

the authorhas some interesting points to raise,he/she/itdid fail to bring over the true message of what Justice is.There should have been more mentions of spoons and I found it sorely lacking in metaphors." Cameron declares solemnly.no subject
I completely agree, Camboy. What do you thinkthe authorcould have done to flesh out his message, besides the spoons and metaphors?"no subject

whenever it was published. And at the time, the authorwas probably more concerned with the theory than he was with illustrations." Tick looked saddened at this, as if he had some sort of special interest in illustrated justice.no subject
The authorshould have taken a broader approach on the subject, like he completely forgot to mention superheroes in blue spandex, and perhaps give more examples and make the subject more real to the readers. Some more action stories and battlecries would have brought the book more to life."no subject

founds the authorto be pretentious, especially given his relative lack of experience in the specific area he addressed. It seemed that most of his conclusions were drawn from theory, rather than from practical experience. Now I realize thatback when book was writtenthe communication systems ofwhatever world this book came fromwere relatively primitive, but it seemed that a more thorough fact-checking could've stoppedsome of the more insane theories on Justice he put forward." Anakin looked up at the professor. "I've read mission reports that were better written."no subject

She is not any way doodling anything resembling 'RG+LE' in the margins, for that would be silly.'no subject
I don't think that would be an appropriate topic for your question, Rory. For one, I have no clue what RG+LE has to do with Criminal Justice!no subject
That's why I'm not doodling it sir! That would be SILLY and...unjust?Though I'm pretty sure I could make an essay question out of it. Hmm.no subject
Well, I did say that the topic was your choice...no subject
OMG I HAVE THE BEST IDEA EVER.Mine is an evil giggle.no subject
Justice is the best idea ever. You had Justice?
And I can't wait!
