Newspaper Crew Meeting: 16:00 FHS-20:00 FHS

Jake is sitting crosslegged on top of and in the middle of the collection of desks that make out the Newspaper headquarter. He's frowning down at a list of names Spider's just slipped him.

Outside the classroom, next to the newspaper mailbox, he's just finished hanging up a new one.

He takes a sip of coffee and tries to figure out what to do with the list.

Angelus stopped by on the odd chance Beka needed more information out of him for the Ethics article. When he saw Jake he grinned. "I still say you're a wimp for not doing rap."

Beka caught Angelus's eye. "Hey," she managed, before a wave of heat claimed her, bringing a flush to her cheeks.

"Hey," there was a definite grin in his eyes as he said, "Need me?"

"Definitely." Gods did she ever. She immediately lowered her gaze, but and not just to look at his lap. "Maybe we should get together tonight and talk about practice the Ethics assignment?"

"Happy to," Angelus said. "Got a place in mind?"

"Somewhere we can talk without being interrupted," she replied evenly. "I still have a lot of questions. Maybe the Attic?"

"Sure," he said. "What time?"

"I think Bel wants to talk to you. I'm free this evening. So call me after?"

"You got it though my player will be busy for a couple of hours before then"

Amused and emboldened by his interest, she went to him and put her mouth by his ear to whisper: "No rainchecks unless your player gets too busy because I like her better than I like you."

Angelus grinned. "Of course not. Lucky player"

Beka flashed him something between a glare and a grin, or maybe a little of both. "See you later then. Aww. Mine's lucky too."

Chloe comes in and heads for the coffee like a woman possessed. "Hey, you're not hiding. This is a very good thing," she teases, smirking.

Rory spots Chloe as she enters, and walks over to her.

"Hey," she says quietly. "Logan told me you were the one who left the gun for me? I'm sorry if anyone bugged you about it. It was a total misunderstanding." She smiles apologetically. "I have an armed doppleganger in town who I think you saw, and thought was me."

"You do?" Chloe says, eyebrows raised. "That certainly explains a lot, not the least of which is why you would have a gun." She sighs softly. "I'm sorry if I caused any trouble for you or Logan, or if I made you worried that you were being threatened. That was never my intention."

"Oh, no," Rory says emphatically, smiling. "I never thought it was. Stupid evil twins, screwing up everything."

With a sidelong glance at Angelus, Angela takes a seat on the other side of the classroom from him and busies herself with her bookbag.

"Hi Jake, Chloe."

"Hey Angela," Chloe says, only slightly aware of the glance. "How's it going?"

"Pretty good. I have to research volcanoes for geology," Angela says, making a face. "What about you?"

"I'm suddenly glad I chose Biology instead." Chloe laughs softly. "I'm too busy thinking about getting Journalism grades on Friday to really think about anything else."

"I forgot that was Friday," Angela says, looking worried. "I mean, I'm sure I'm fine, but ... this school is so weird I kind of forgot we got grades, you know?"

Chihaya slips in, gives a halfhearted wave to Jake and sits in the corner, his notebook, scribbling notes across the page.

Rory carefully sets a tumbler of mocha on a desk near Jake, with a note reading:

Because you deserve awesome coffee after the whole ordeal. And I mean having to sing 'American Pie,' more than the damn dare.

Quietly, Chihaya tries to get Rory's attention. "Uh, did you ever find out anything about people coming to sit in and watch the Student Council meetings?"

"Yes!" Rory says, smacking her forehead. "I am so sorry for not getting back to you sooner. You're totally allowed into any meeting you want to go to, hon."

Looking slightly frazzled, Callisto wanders into the classroom and sits down.
