Chloe takes a seat at one of the empty tables, and pulls out her Biology notes, humming quietly to herself.

Sliding into the chair beside her, Krycek pulls out a text (though for what is a good question) and a notebook. "Hey. Mind some company?"

Chloe smiles, scooting over a little to give Krycek room. "Not at all. This stuff is starting to make my eyes cross." She gives him a sly grin. "Did you have fun on the radio?"

"Probably moreso than I should have," he says with a wry look. "It's been a while since I did anything painfully exhibitionist. Was it at least not too terribly painful to listen to?"

"Trust me, painful would be the last word I'd use to describe it." For a moment, she wonders if she should tell him about the copies Duce made of their broadcast, but decides that that probably wouldn't be a good idea. "You should convince Barbossa to let you two make an encore appearance."

Krycek shakes his head, giving her a disbelieving look. "No way." Shaking his head again, this time dismissing the thought, he sits forward a little, dropping his voice. "I do have something serious to ask you though. Something I'd appreciate you kept under wraps?"

Chloe blinks for a moment, and nods seriously, leaning forward as well. "I can keep quiet," she says. "Is everything all right?"

"I'm looking for some information. You know Rory Gilmore, right?" When she nods, he continues, "I'm trying to find out who may be interested in threatening her or have some sort of revenge-motive against her."

"Revenge motive, against Rory?" Chloe asks incredulously, managing to keep her voice down at the last moment. "We are talking about the same Rory Gilmore, right? Sweet, innocent, wouldn't hurt a fly?"

Krycek smirks faintly and nods. "It's just a theory, but anyone has the ability to piss someone else off for any reason you can think of. Add in the possibility of an unbalanced mind and you could have someone stalking Rory, of all people, for revenge." Waving a hand in unconscious imitation of a certain someone, he moves on. "Specifically, someone left a gun in front of her door - which in itself might be a good clue as to who might have done it."

Chloe would smirk at the hand gesture if the conversation wasn't so serious. "Well, I don't know about revenge or stalking, but I'm the one who left the gun for Rory," she says, getting slightly confused. "I was returning it."

"You were what?" He looks at her sharply, letting her explain before he asks anything else.

Chloe shrinks back in her seat a little at the look she gets from Krycek. "I was returning it," she repeats. "I saw Rory in the park, and she left the gun sitting on one of the benches. I figured Logan gave it to her for protection after the whole thing with Kitty Pryde. Rory wasn't in her room when I went by to give it back, so I just dropped it off. I left her a note..." she says, trailing off.

"You saw Rory leave a gun in the park?" Krycek repeats it slowly, as he knows Logan didn't give her the gun - unless he lied, but he had no reason to do that and then ask Krycek to look into it.

Chloe just nods, wondering how something she thought was a good deed could have been so apparently wrong. "Yeah. She was just standing there, and I went over to say hi, but she walked away. That's when I saw she'd left the gun. I called to her to try to get her attention, but I don't think she heard me because she just kept walking." She gives Krycek a serious look. "Did I do something wrong? I mean, I didn't know what else to do with the gun. I didn't want to put it in the weapons locker, because I didn't know if Rory had registered it yet, and I didn't want her to get in trouble."

"Leaving it in the hall with an un-signed note maybe wasn't the best idea," he says dryly. Krycek thinks a moment, shaking his head finally. "I'm not sure what to think about Rory having been the one to leave it, but I was just asked to find out who left it at her door." Well, that hadn't been it exactly, but he'd found out more quickly than he'd meant to.

Chloe sighs, covering her face in embarassment. "Oh god, I didn't sign the note." It's not a question, but it's the first time she's realized the mistake she made. "I swear, I didn't mean to cause Rory any trouble. And I'm not stalking her or threatening her or anything like that either."

"I don't figure you would be," Krycek says mildly, giving her a somewhat sympathetic look. "I have to tell Logan though, since he was the one who asked me to look into it."

"That's fine. Tell whoever you need to." Chloe frowns softly as something clicks into place. "Wait, Logan didn't give Rory the gun?"

Krycek smirks and shakes his head. "Nope. Which would be why this is rather disconcerting." He pulls together his book and notepad, putting them back in his bag. "Thanks, Chloe. I'll talk to you later."

Chloe nods, trying not to let on how worried she is that she's done something truly wrong. "Talk to you later."

Beka was not in a chatty mood. It'd been a long week already and her ribs hurt. She saw Chloe, though, and needed to apologize. And so, another note:

Boss,

Sorry about the article. Couldn't get the right permissions. And then there was this thing in the park, and the clinic.

Wrote the gossip column, but kept throwing it away. Just seemed wrong.
