Dream steps around the blue-eyed boy who is agitatedly trying to claw the doors open to unlock study hall and declare it open.

"Can't says I've ever understood them," Angelus agreed. "Though that may have something to do with how I'm not a person."

"Definately part of what I like about you Angelus, definately part of what I like," he tells him.

"Logan Echolls also had a killer party," he says picking up the conversation from the beginning, "which means, I finally got to meet him. That was nice. I also got to meet Illyanna Rasputin, and that was a much more interesting experience. I'm not even going to ask, because I'm sure I'll find out eventually from her, but Ms. Valentine said something about her coming with us to Vegas? And my being expected to talk to her?"

"Illyana and Beka have a thing," Angelus said, fully aware of how ambiguous that answer was. "Beka asked for her to come with, I said fine. As for the talking to her part, I don't believe that's a requirement. Better not be as I'm not putting it in my day planner."

"Good, I'm all in favor of Beka and her things, as long as I'm not expected to fix them on a vacation," Jonathan tells him, "So what is on your day planner?" he asks chin propped up on one hand.

"Fun fun fun," Angelus said. "Gambling, women, shows - you name it. You ever gamble before, Johnny?"

"Can't say that I have. Gotham isn't really well known for it. Anything I should know?"

"Ooh, plenty," Angelus folded his book in his lap to give Jonathan his complete attention. "I can't have one of my boys going to Vegas to get plucked. At least, not by the gambling tables. With the legalized hookers you're on your own."

"I'm pretty sure we;ve got those in Gotham, or at least hookers the cops don't give a damn about busting, so I'm good with that. But gambling, well, everything I know about gambling I've seen in the movies."

"I'll teach you," Angelus said. "What I don't know about gambling isn't worth knowing. What do you feel drawn to? Cards? Craps? Roulette?"

"I really think cards sounds like the most fun. I mean, it's almost as much about playing the other players as it is about playing the hand itself right? That sounds like something I could be into."

"Poker it is," Angelus said. "And you're right, it's all about psychology. I should've known it'd be right up your alley."

"So you'll teach me? You should probably give Draco a lesson too, he doesn't even have cheesy movie stereotypes to fall back on."

"Logan suggested a poker night to get everybody up to speed," Angelus said. "Maybe we should try that for next week. You got any plans?"

"I can probably squeeze you into my booming social calendar," Jonathan tells him.

"Fabulous," Angelus made a note. "You, me, Draco, Bel, Logan - that's five already but I'm sure we can get the whole gang in if anybody else needs to practice. Logan's place is big enough."

"Sounds great, I'll let Draco know okay?"

"By all means," Angelus said. "I'll take care of touching base with Logan, find out when's good for him."

((Hmm, good question. I'm about to leave work so won't be online for a little bit. But if you want to assume this happens when Angelus and Bel are both there lemme know. And, uh, Bel too, one assumes. ;) ))

I completely fail to see how advertising my ablities in the oral sex department is any kind of detterent for girls. I mean, this way they know exactly what's what, right?

Beka smirked. Getting caught in flagrante by the Tentacle was doing wonders for Jonathon.

There's a courtesy even Angelus doesn't show. Though he could, what with the not breathing and all. A girl could appreciate that.
