Study Hall, 11/07

Dream throws open the doors of study hall and stations himself at a desk just inside.

Having noticed that the puppies and kittens seemed to be popular, He has conjured some of each from dreams and placed them in a pen next to his desk.

Of course, they are dream-creatures, and some of them may be a little ... off. For example, one cocker spaniel has wings; a kitten looks like a siamese, but is red and green striped.

But none of them are vicious. He's almost certain of that.

Krycek enters study hall with a box under one arm, he looks around for Callynanders, as he knows them from Shop class, and possibly some guy named Bridge. Claiming a desk, he puts the box on it for the moment, hoping he hasn't missed them completely.

*notices Krycek, and wanders up, pointing at the box*

Broken Expresso Machine? *smile*

Looking up, he nods, smirking somewhat. "Yeah. Look, I appreciate you guys getting back to me so quickly." Pausing, he wrinkles his nose somewhat. "Sorry, I'm Alex Krycek. I've seen you in Shop Class, though you probably haven't noticed me."

Oh, hey, Cally. *blushes a little, and scratches the back of her neck* Yeah, I'm usually a little, erm... focused during Shop Class. It was your birthday last week, right?

Sighing, he nods with a long-suffering look. "That was me. Did you get a cupcake? They weren't half bad."

*continues scratching the back of her neck* Yeah, I grabbed one. It was really sweet of whoever sent them, you know.

So, what's wrong with the expresso machine? Anything in particular goin' wrong, or just generally not working?

Krycek shrugs, agreeing, but not quite ready to believe in it being an utterly altruistic act. "It, ah, fell. When I was cleaning. And it didn't work when I picked it back up, so I can only assume it's something internal, which is beyond my meager understanding of appliances."

Right, internal issue. I'll try to take care of this personally cause it might make something other than espresso if Bridge fiddles with it, and I should have it back... thursday at the latest. That okay?

Nodding, he smiles in relief. "Thursday's good, thanks. What, like Slushees? Condoms? What's the fee like, if I might ask? Just a rough estimate, so I can make sure to have it on hand."

*freezes for a second, still not used to the currency system* Erm... I figure it'll probably take an hour or two, hopefully... what do you think'd be fair? Cause my brain still only thinks in cubits.

He looks from the box to Cally. "I'd say... Maybe $30 to 40, depending on how difficult the job turns out to be." Krycek smiles at her. "Just let me know if it gives you problems."

Right, right. *nods, and takes hold of the box* Shouldn't be too tricky. I got small hands, so, even little fiddly bits are kinda easy. Thanks for bein' our first customer!

Logan sits down next to Krycek. "Got a question for you," he says in a low voice.

After he's passed off the machine to Cally, Krycek looks at Logan, arching an eyebrow. "Go ahead."

"You work for Spider, right? Do you have access to the videos of the dorm hallways?" Logan's still keeping his voice low.

Krycek eyes Logan, dropping his own voice to match. "Maybe. I haven't tested my access, but it's possible I could get it out that far. Why?"

"I'll tell you if you promise not to mention it to Rory," Logan says.

"Can't do that," Krycek returns, eyes narrowing. "Without knowing what it's in regards to."

Logan sighs. "It's nothing sinister. She's a little freaked over something and I don't want her to know that I'm checking up on it."

Krycek nods then, smiling faintly. "Okay then, I promise." If nothing else, Krycek does believe that Logan cares for Rory.

"Someone left Rory a loaded gun with a note saying, 'Thought you might want this,'" Logan says. "I want to know why. I figured I'd start with 'who' and work my way back. Can you find out? It was left at her room, a few days before my party."

Krycek frowns, nodding. "I can try. I understand the note of secrecy about it now." Sitting forward, he looks attentive. "What day exactly? And as near the time as you can figure - since if I get into it, there's a lot of footage to cover."

Logan shakes his head. "Don't know. She was scared; I didn't press the issue. Sorry, man."

Grimacing, he shrugs. "I'll look then, if I can. I'll let you know what or if I find anything."
