Philosophy classroom: Monday office hours, 10am-2pm

Tara sits at her desk, ostensibly grading but scarcely able to focus on anything. The footsteps in the hall were driving her insane, so the door is closed, but a note sticky taped to the door reads "Open for Office Hours. Please knock."

Phoebe sees the closed door and knocks gently.

"Tara? It's Phoebe."

"Come on in, Phoebe," Tara calls. When she does, Tara smiles gently. "I'm sorry for the closed door. I've got a headache today, and the footsteps are driving me mad."

It's not him. He's not here. He's not allowed on campus. There's a giant white ball to make sure of that. He can't come here.

Phoebe looks concerned and closes the door behind her. "Anything I can do?"

"Closing the door is a good start, thank you, Phoebe. I'll be fine."

Gesturing to a seat on the sofa, Tara leaves her desk to join Phoebe.

"So, how are we doing with the magic-users club?"

Phoebe sits down, but it's obvious she's concerned about Tara.

"Well, we need a name for it and when we'll have official meetings." She smiles. "Monday nights are out as I have Student Council."

Maia knocked softly on the door swallowing hard. She had not seen Tara since the Red Appreciate and was concerned.

"Okay," Tara nods. "We'll have the meetings here? Friday is probably not a good idea... do you know if there are any large clubs that we'd be conflicting with on any of the other days? If not, Thursday is probably best for me, because I'm already on campus."

Maia walks in and looks at Tara briefly before forcing a smile that does not reach her eyes. "Hey Tara. How are you?"

"Thursdays it is, then," Tara says, penciling it into her notebook.

"Now we just need a name. Any suggestions?"

"I'm doing okay," Tara replies honestly. "Not brilliant, but... okay. I'm really sorry about flaking out on you the other night."

"The Learning Tree keeps coming to mind, but I don't know."

Maia nods. "Its ok Tara, sometimes it's just needed. We have been spending a lot of time together." She smiled for real now "Its ok really." She nodded then hestitated. "What happened that night Tara?"

"The Learning Tree?" Tara bites her lip.

"I like the sound of it, but... it's not a class. I don't want to give people the wrong impression. Maybe something more egalitarian? Like, um the Round Table, or the Magic Circle, or something?"

"I wish I knew," Tara replies. "But I don't, and... well, I've got my teacher hat on here. I really, really don't want to be rude, and I know that you're concerned, but I need to stay focused. If I think too much about... um, that stuff..." she shakes her head.

"That stuff doesn't come on campus."

Maia frowned heavily at this. "Well Tara, I have my sister hat on right now and I am scared for you. Crowley gave me another message for you."

Tara's face freezes, and her knucles turn white around the pen she's holding.

Maia paled to see Tara look so scared like that. "I saw, w-what he's going to do to you." Maia suppressed a shudder. Maia's eyes were wide with fear as she looked at Tara. "Stay away from him Tara. I don't care if you think he is good underneath he isn't thats not how this works. He hates you Tara and he is going to let you know it if you keep messing with him and going around him."

Tara stands, closing her eyes for a moment as she draws a deep breath and lets it out slowly.

Then, opening her eyes, she says calmly, "Thank you for your concern, Ms. Rutledge. I'll take that under consideration. Was there anything else?"
