[Journalism Classroom - Early Saturday Morning]

Arriving in the room at some time that seemed entirely too early for a Saturday, Krycek unlocked the door and flipped on the lights. He turned on the feeds as well, after a moment, letting them run the night's news at a low volume as he set the coffee machine and checked Spider's desk for any new homework turned in. Sitting down with the work to be graded, he waited for Jake to show up.

If he had a religion, being up this early on a Saturday would definitely be against it Jake decided as he shuffled down the hallway, heading towards the journalism classroom. He yawned, nodding briefly to other early wakers he recognized.

Jake pushed the door open, smiling when he discovered that Krycek was already there.

"I hate Spider Jerusalem," he announced, shuffling inside.

"You keep saying that, and yet I don't see you quitting," Krycek said, looking up with a smile of his own. "Coffee should be ready." He waved at the side table with the machine, the smell of coffee beginning to fill the room. "Want me to set the feeds up for attendance?"

Jake gave him a mildly surprised look. "Well, no. I mean, he's a bastard, but he's an interesting one. And also, coffee!" He headed directly for the coffee, waving a hand to Krycek. "Yes, please. Want coffee?"

He nodded, chuckling at Jake's notion of how the boss might be worthy of their employment. "Yeah, definitely. Got caught up in the grading and forgot to get myself some." To the feeds, he ordered them to cue up the recorded classtimes, pausing until Jake was ready.

"You're weird, man," Jake noted. He poured two cups full of coffee then made his way over to Krycek. "We going to Logan's party later?"

"Unless you don't want to," Krycek said, taking the cup and sipping it. He winced a little at the heat, putting it down on the desk to cool as he looked over papers. "Thought I'd probably sleep over there after, if you don't mind."

"Nah, it's probably best if I'm there to guard the coffee maker." The heat didn't seem to bother Jake much as he sipped his coffee. "'Course I don't mind, as long as you don't mind me sleeping there as well," he added with a grin.

"Guard it? What are they going to do, take it apart?" He gave Jake an amused smirk, marking the next paper as a fail before placing it in the next pile. "And there's no reason for me to be sleeping at Logan's at all, unless you're there."

"They might." Jake's grin widens. "And, absolutely correct answer! You win... Hm. What could you win?"

"A morning stuck in the Journalism classroom with my boyfriend?" He cocked an eyebrow, trying his coffee again, carefully.

"Wow, that's amazing. That's, like, just what you get!" Jake sat down as well, and pulled out his notebook from his backpack, getting ready to start marking off names. "Aren't you enormously lucky?"

"I'm sure." Krycek snorted softly. "Whenever I'm done with this, I'll help you finish. Don't want to be stuck in here all day."

Spotting the journalism classroom's lights on, Duce poked her head inside, with a comical look of 'WTF'. The look only intensified as she spotted The Boys instead of The Spider. She slowly resolves her mind into a plausible theory and runs with it, "He roped you two into something, didn't he?" Shaking her head, she says, "Nevermind. On to important questions. Did all the boxes arrive ok?"

Jake gives her a gloomy look. "Not technically, I suppose. Unless you call the entire Assisstant thing getting roped into something." He gives Krycek a pointed look over his mug of coffee. Krycek doesn't appear to notice. Jake makes a face and sighs at Duce. "He's doing the homework and extra credit stuff, I get to watch tapes for attendance. Luckily I can skip the ones where I was in class, otherwise I'd never get done."

"That's a sucky way to spend a Saturday," Duce sympathizes. "If you ever want help, let us know. We mean.. we're usually in the class when you are, but sometimes not. Considering our nature," she gestures a hand at the snakes, "it's not like we can not pay attention to who's around us. Why doesn't Spider do like the other teachers and have us sign a roster when we come in? That way, you could just collect the paper at the end of class and penalize anyone dumb enough to not sign in."

"I think he just wants us to pay attention. That said, I might just stick a sheet up anyway." Jake says, considering it . "This isn't exactly the funniest part of my job. Hey," Jake points his mug at her. "You coming to the party?"

Making a face, she nods, "That'd be a Spidey-style thing to do, yup. Still, at least a roster for days you're not there, maybe?"

Grinning, she nods, "Yeah. And we think it's a brilliant idea. All this mopeyness is just.. ugh. Know you don't like him, but even you gotta admit that Logan throws a good party."

(ooc: was gonna throw myself in the party now, if you wanna come play.)

Jake looks like he's not prepared to admit to any such thing.

Duce simply smirks. She also reassures, "We're sure you'd throw a much better party. You should do that sometime. It's not like Logan would care."
