"I'm not much of a gun person," John admits. "So, to be brat. How's the neck feeling?"

"Better, actually. You *are* good at that, I hate to admit. " Parker closes and locks the case with the grenades, and picks up her .Sig. "What, Sun hasn't introduced you to the joys of blowing away gremlins yet? Does it have to be a Playstation to interest you?"

"I'll remember you said that next time you want to beat me up." John looks at her gun closely. "She talks about them but I've just never been big on guns. They make me nervous. And I don't even have a Playstation!"

"Massage bribes can always get you out of trouble. Well, nearly always...."

Parker shows him the unloaded gun. "If you understand them, you don't have to be scared of them, Crichton. They're just a tool. Deadly, but so are arc welders and chain saws. You just have to treat them with respect."

"Okay, now I know what I'm getting Sun for Christmas. If you're good, maybe she'll let you play with it."

John winks at her. "Got it. And it's not that I'm scared of an actual gun but nervous of the fact that I have little experience with guns. I'd be afraid of what I would do with a gun."

"And I still have to explain Christmas to Aeryn. That'll be fun. She already thinks Halloween sucks."

"Do you *want* to try? There's some easy target pistols here, if you want to practice. Heck, if Alanna can handle a 9mm when she'd never even seen one before, you should do okay."

Parker grins. "Can I be there when you try to explain Santa? I really want to see you try to break her brain with that."

Janet, in the next gallery, hears this before she puts on her earmuffs. "Seconded!"

John looks a bit uneasy. "I'm...not entirely sure. Guns are Aeryn's thing. Being dumb and charming is mine."

John slaps his face into his hand. "You know, I have no doubt that Aeryn would get so suspicious of this Santa, stay up all night and attempt to shoot me if I even so much as tried putting out her gifts."

"Well, think about it. It's one more thing you can do with your girlfriend. Aeryn's a pro, she likes having her weapons around. She'd probably like it if you took an interest." Parker rolls her eyes. "Here endeth me giving anything like advice. Figure it out, get back to me if you want to. Or better yet, have Aeryn show you."

Parker chortles. "Oh. My. God. The anti-Cindy-Lou-Who! Okay, now *I* want to tell her."

"Hey, I take an interest. I named her guns and everything." John eyes the guns again. "Could I wait for her, maybe see what she says?"

"You can tell," John says in relief. "She might kill me if I get it wrong after what happened on Halloween."

"Sure. She might not want me teaching you things she'd like to say herself." Parker grins wickedly.

"Ohhh, fabulous. Heh. Allright, as soon as I'm back from Thanksgiving Break, I'll make the attempt. I'm not getting into why the stores have all this crap out for it *before* the Rose Bowl is over."
