Wrestling Club, November 4th

*The gym has had a bit of a redecoration. There is plastic sheeting across the entire floor, and in the middle is a very large inflatable pool*

*It is filled with mud*

Mud Wrestling today, kids!

I wanna see Callisto and Ivanova, in there, right now!

*sets down clipboard for everyone to sign the roll*

Maia comes and looks around. "Mud sir? Wont that ruin our wrestling uniforms?"

...so? The School pays for it, not us! *hearty laugh*

Maia nodded. "Right you are sir." Maia hurries to the locker room to put her uniform on.

Boone signed the roster.

Maia comes running back into the gym jumping down next to Boone. "Hey. Do we have to wear our sneakers for this?" Maia eyed the mud, her usually lose curls are now pulled back in a very tight braid.

"I don't think so," Boone replied, kicking his off.

Maia took her sneakers off still eyeing the mud. "Who's your partner?"

((OOC: No fair confusing the poor new mun!))

"I don't know," he admitted with a slight grin. "I guess I'll find somebody."

((not to break him but it's the lovely Sawyer *g*))

Maia thinks for a minute. "I think your with Sawyer. I'm with Edward, unless coach decides to change it up." Maia says in a low tone "He rarely does though. I think the man fears change." Maia's eyes twinkled as she said this hiding a smile behind her lips.

Draco signs the roll.

((Mun won't be online until late tonight. FYI.))

Sawyer wanders in, giving a small wave to the coach; his eyes land on the mud and they go wide. A laugh comes from him as he goes to find Boone.

Ivanova signs in, looks at the mud, and raises an eyebrow. "Wrestle? In that?"

That's the idea. It's decreases your ability to manuever and grip, and therefore is a perfect training excercise. Feel free to take off your shoes ~~and everything else~~ before entering the mud.

[ooc: though Callisto and her mighty Australian-ness might not be around for a bit. Or possibly might impale Ash on a stick when she finds out what's going on]

Ivanova narrows her eyes. She knows exactly what the mud will do. Still, she begins jogging around the gym and tumbling to warm up, waiting for Callisto to arrive, or another partner to materialise.

"Hey, Ivanova." Callisto nods.

Ivanova does one more backroll and bounces to her feet. "Hey." She nods towards the mud pit. "Can you believe it?"

"With Coach?" Callisto raises an eyebrow "Always."

"So, thoughts?" Ivanova raises an eyebrow. "Stage a walk-out in feminist fury? Or give in to the need to wail on someone, despite the mud aspect?"

[[I am so up for it if you are.]]

"Sure, why not." Callisto leans in and lowers her voice. "And we can always start throwing mud at Coach."

Ivanova grins at her conspiratorily. "If we're getting down and dirty, he's going to suffer for it, same as we are." She moves closer to the mud pool and kicks off her shoes and socks. After a moment she reached beneath her singlet and a moment later something white flashed out and was stuffed inside one shoe. She hesitated on the edge.

Standing barefoot next to Ivanona, Callisto regards the mud. "After you?"

She rolls her eyes. "Thanks." Gingerly she stepped over the side of the pool, tried to get a firm stance, lifted the other foot - and immediately lost her footing, slipping and landing flat on her back in the mud, sending clods flying into the air. "Ow and yuck."

Getting into the pool, Callisto manages staying upright slightly better.

For about thirty seconds at least...

Ivanova, seeing a possible advantage, grabs Callisto's wrist and yanks her down, while trying to scramble at least to her knees.

AS Ivanona pulls, Callisto's feet skid out from under her. As she falls she tries to hook a leg behind Ivanona's knees.

Ivanova is thrown off-balance, tottering on one knee as her other leg slides out sideways.

"Oh, you are so going down," she growls with a bit of a laugh, and lunges at Callisto, ducking under her arm for a throw, but slipping sideways and sending them both into the side of the kiddie pool.

"Oof!" Deciding to try and use the mud to her advantage, Callisto grabs at Ivanona and leans backwards.

Ivanova loses any and all semblance of controls and sprawls through the mud. She levers herself up on her hands, shaking her head and spitting.

Flat on her back, Callisto discovers the fatal flaw in her plan as she realises she's unable to get the leverage to get back up.

Ivanova manages to get herself up enough to collapse on top of Callisto, her hands too muddy to get a proper grip for any ground moves. Even her favourite, the cross-face.

[[Didn't wrestle competitively. At all. Nope. *dances from foot to foot*]]

Stuck under Ivanova, Callisto decides to bend the rules. Wriggling around, she reaches for Ivanona's belly and starts tickling.

Ivanova doubles up, shoving away her hands. "Okay, that's cheating," she grinds out, and looses her balance atop the other girl, sliding sideways.

*laughs, and starts applauding*

Keep up the good work, kids! Don't be afraid to get really dirty, okay?

Ivanova scrabbles in the mud, gets a nice goopy handful, and flings it in the general direction of the coach, praying that it lands. She's too busy trying to keep her head up to aim.

*frowns as the mud hits him square in the face*

Kids... mudslinging? This is wrestling, not politics. You should be ashamed.

Han signs the roll and looks skeptically at the mud.

*Is here, eyes the mud reluctantly*

Callisto signs the roll, and just looks at Ash.

*looks back at Callisto, chewing his gum ~~that magically appeared~~ loudly*

Something wrong, TA?

"Oh, no, nothing at all." Callisto grits.
