301--Register and Grief

Ok, gang. Sorry about yesterday. Didn't meant to just cut out on you. This topic is going to be unavoidable, so let's just work with it. How do we talk about grief? Death? Sadness?Everyone copes differently, but what is the register we use to speak to each other? To superiors, such as teachers, counselors, doctors, or clergy? How do euphemisms infulence how we see death? I know we have a lot of different backgrounds in here, would you like to explain death in your culture? We're going to keep this professional people. If you need to leave, do so. I honestly can't deal with this today, so we're going to play normal, all right?

It says a lot about the need to express grief.

Voulez-vous que j'aie continué avec le reste de la classe ? Je n'ai pas des objections

*nods, and gently squeezes CJ's arm comfortingly*
