Quantum Physics 123: Wednesday 2 November

[The Doctor looks tired today. He drops his books on the desk, hard, then stands in front of the classroom.]

Today we're going to continue our discussion from Monday on paradox. [As he speaks, he moves back to the whiteboard, where he writes PARADOX in big black letters. Then he pulls out his desk chair in order to sit down.] We had some good questions the other day, so [he sits down] please keep this u--

((OOC: Further play is in comments. A guide to the behaviour of Gremlin!Ten is here.))

((EDIT: The Doctor's now at large somewhere in Fandom High. No new threads, please.))

Sam arrives in class just in time to see The Doctor beating the hell out of the gremlin. She studies his form with the chair and can't help thinking they need to get a gremlin baseball team together. He'd make a good faculty advisor--especially if they used cricket bats.

"Sir! Are you alright?"

"It depends, sir. Do you need rescuing? Because it seems to me like you did okay on your own."

"An alien time lord with paradox issues?" Sam eyes him warily and takes a step back. "Why don't you tell me, sir, just so I'm crystal clear on the concept?"

She plants her feet and wishes for some backup. And a zat. And a license to exterminate gremlins. "I'm young. I've got time."

"I'm older than I look," Sam replies. "And you're obviously dying to enlighten me. Feel free."

"No, I don't know, sir. It wasn't printed in the class descriptions, and it seemed rude to pry into someone else's private life."

She's a little thrown by the 'not a human' comment, but it shouldn't be very evident. She's in combat, now, and anything he says will probably hit her later.

"No, of course it's not too much to ask, sir."

Sonia moves a bit closer to Sam. Just in case.
