Language Classes, 11/02

I ... have nothing to say, today.

You may use this class as a study hall, or review your vocabulary worksheets.

I am here, should you wish to talk to me, though I doubt I will be much use.

Rory signed in, and spent the period tapping her pen thoughtfully against the desk and staring off into space.

*signs in and goes over vocab sheets*

Janet signs in and starts to study.

Sam signed in ~~to the right class this time~~ and began studying her vocabulary worksheets (again).

Rory signed in and spent Classics the same way as Languages of Asia.

Anders signs in, coffee in hand, looking slightly hung over but none the worse for wear, really.

Sonia signs in, giving Dream a thoughtful glance before taking her seat. She spends the rest of class studying vocabulary and reviewing notes.

Rogue signs in and starts looking over her books. She's not very focussed.

Anders waves over at Rogue absently. "Hey."

Rogue looks up. "Hey." She gives Anders a weak smile.

Anders tilts his head and looks at her. "You okay?"

Rogue shrugs. "Kitty is--was my roommate. And I didn't even notice she was gone." She sighs, staring back down at her book.

"Kitty." The name doesn't come to him right away.

"Kitty from shop class? Holy frak. She's gone?"

"Yeah, Kitty." She pauses, "You didn't hear? Or read the Tentacle?" Rogue's whole body slumps slightly as she whispers, "They say she might have been... murdered."

Anders sags in his seat. "Frak, I had no idea. Just kind of noticed people have been pretty down the past day or two. Holy . . ."

Rogue nods. "And I think most of the professors are tore up about it too."

He nods as well, thoughtfully. "Well, yeah -- I can see why. But still . . . I had no idea. At all. Damn." He looks at her and asks, "Most people don't really know, do they? I mean, aside from the Tentacle thing?"

Thomasina signs her name to the class roster, takes her seat and settles in to study the current set of Greek vocabulary worksheets.

Draco signs in.

Murphy signs in and stumbles into the first unoccupied seat he can find.

Last night's movie distraction didn't really help matters.

Hopefully that third cup of double strength coffee will.

Connor stumbles in sometime after Murphy. He hadn't slept well, because his brother never came tot he room, and he couldn't settle enough to sleep. He sees Murphy and sits near him.

["What happened to you last night?"] he asks in Russian, figuring no one around them would understand the conversation in a differnt language.

{"Couldn't sleep,"} he mutters in the same language. {"Spent the night in the common room, found a station playing The Maltese Falcon, think I drifted off about half way through."}

["Ya shouldn't do that. I was worried about you."]

{"Sorry."} Chewing his lip a bit. {"Just didn't want to keep you awake all night because I was tossing and turning, you know?"}

["Aye. Just...don't do it again."] Connor sighs. He doesn't think class time is the place to tell Murphy all the horrific thoughts that ran thorough his mind. Gremlins and the like running around...And the recent rumors that a student had been murdered...

{"I won't."} Not that he'd need to say it anyway.

"Promise ya, mo cúplach."

"Good. I don't think I can take another night like that." Connor muttered.

(You've no idea, Conchúr. An' I pray ya never do.)

More lip chewing as he looks away.

Work in the lab or talk to Dream here.

Phoebe walks in and looks for Lockheed. She has brought something for him.

Phoebe. Hello.

He notices her peering around for the dragon.

Lockheed is in my realm for now, recovering from his shock. I can give something to him, if you want.

Phoebe nods and hands Dream a blue ribbon. "It's one of mine. He seemed to like the last one I gave him."

I am sure he will appreciate it.

She nods.

"Sir, could you please tell him I'm thinking of him?"

Dream smiles.

Certainly.

Janet signs in, opens her laptop, and starts studying her Indo-European intently.
