This week, Electroclash was actually there when the students filed in. Progress! She still didn't look like this was her favourite place in the world to be, but then you shouldn't expect too much of a good thing, anyway.

"Okay, my name's Electroclash," she drawled, once everyone was settled. "I can control machines, and I'm apparently teaching this class on superheroics." Eyeroll. "No one bothered to tell me this was supposed to start last week, so... sorry about that, or something. Anyway, this Kaplan kid – who's my new sidekick for the class as of right now – took some notes about you." She waved a ~~handwavily acquired and horribly modded~~ paper at them, then looked down at it. "Not that it was that much good 'coz I'm only interested in your cape names, and you insisted on giving your civilian ones. But I took the liberty of renaming you!" She smirked at them, smugly, as she retrieved another piece of paper, then called out each of their names in turn, and told them their new aliases. Which were non-negotiable as far as she was concerned, though you were welcome to try.

With a few unnamed people left, Electroclash trailed off. "And then ~~not everyone did IC introductions~~ I got bored reading this thing, so the last few names are to be announced." Actually, there was probably just the one. "Right. The SPA tells me today's topic is costumes and gimmicks. It's pretty simple. I give you a bunch of bright spandex and you design yourselves costumes, which you'll be wearing for the rest of the course." Or not. She was fickle. "Design shit and the Flying Sycophant will get the actual costumes for you for next week. And if you don't have a superpower that gives you an obvious gimmick, you might wanna think about that, too."

She didn't really care, just flopped down into the chair behind the desk, gesturing at a few boxes of fabric nearby. "Well, up and at it, kids, you haven't got all day."

Once everyone had broken up and started getting to work, Butters realized that his name had not been called, and, thus, he had no superhero name. He figured this wouldn't be a problem if this were supervillain class; he already had one of those, and he could probably think of one for himself, but Miss Electroclash probably wanted to give them ones specifically for the class.

So it was a nervous, finger-tapping Butters who came to find the teacher once everyone started to work. "Er, gee whiz, ma'am, I don't think I got myself a superhero name...."

Electroclash looked up from where she'd been momentarily immersed in the thrilling action of inspecting her fingernails.

"Oh, you're that guy," she said, not at all vaguely. (Really, she just meant 'the one name in her list she'd gotten distracted before'.) "Right. So, what can you do, kid?"

"Butters," he corrected. "Butters Stotch. Er, ma'am. And, gee, I can do a whole lot of things! Like singing and dancing and making model trains. I can build a fall-out shelter in three minutes flat and, look, I can even touch my nose with my tongue!"

Which, of course, called for a demonstration. "See?" Butters said, while his tongue was touching his nose, so it really came out more like, "Thhhhe?"

"That's disgusting." Funny how she sounded more impressed. Impressed at what exactly, though, would probably remain a mystery. "Not exactly a superpower, though, is it?"

"Errr, no, not really," Butters admitted after a moment, his shoulders sagging with disappointment. "I don't really have any superpowers, really."

But he was giving it some more thought. He supposed causing Chaos and Dissarry was his main power, but that was as Professor Chaos, and he was here in disguise for research to be a better villain, so he wasn't about to tell his superhero teacher that part.

"All I've really got is the power of my imagination. I managed to save all of Imaginationland with that power, on account of me bein' the Key and all."

But he was frowning still as he said it. "I didn't like bein' the Key."

"What the fuck is Imaginationland?" Electroclash wondered, one eyebrow raised, because that was what interested her the most, here. "Sounds like some wholesome themepark or something."

"Kind of," Butters allowed after a moment of thinking about it, "except for when all the bad guys attack, and then it's more like a nightmare. It's the place where everything in our imagination lives. Everything that was ever thought up ever."

"Riiight."

Electroclash sort of figured a lot of that was metaphorical. She'd heard a lot of mythical bullcrap from various superheroes. She steepled her fingers and looked up, pondering.

"... Imagiboy?"

It was about on the same level of creativity as all her other.

Funny, Butters was thinking the same thing.

"That's not very imaginative," he pointed out.

"What about..." Hands on his hips, he puffed out his chest in a proper superhero pose. "Imagilad?"

Much better.

Electroclash snorted and rolled her eyes. It wasn't that much more imaginative. Also, she didn't care.

"Fine. Imagilad it is."
