Basic Strategy, Monday, Period 4

Tyrion goggled at the students as he came into the classroom. He'd half expected most of them to have been either eaten by the great unknown or decamped to help out at home, if they had homes. He would have decamped to see what he could do at home, if the Causeway hadn't refused to route him anywhere but the parking lot of some horrible place called a Walmart.

"You're all here," he said, curiously, then righted his posture as he made something up out of the whole cloth. "Of course you are. Well. We have a game today. Those of you sitting on the right side of the classroom, you each have a small bag of gold. Those of you sitting on the left, you need that gold to finance some important personal business. Pair off, and use whatever means you have at your disposal to get the gold from each other."

As an afterthought he added, "Or sit about and strategize about what's going on at home, if you'd rather. I wouldn't blame you."

The frustrating thing was, Susan had some idea of what was going on at home. She just had no idea what to do about it. It was still making her mad.

So Claudia was here pretty much because she couldn't think of anything better to do, right now. It'd reached the point where she couldn't even reach Artie, by phone or by Farnsworth, which meant she wasn't even sure if the Warehouse still existed.

So she was here, slouched way down in her chair at the back of the class, doodling Tesla schematics in her notebook and trying not to think about things too hard.

Marshall was, admittedly, a little distracted by exactly what was going on at home. No one important seemed to be missing yet, but his last couple of calls had left Corinne wondering what, exactly, Marshall was on.

So if he looked like he wasn't entirely paying attention, that's because... he wasn't.

For getting the imaginary gold from the righties, or for protecting it from the lefties.

This has weird political overtones, doesn't it? Is it just me?

Tyrion was watching the students with a mixture of apprehension and curiosity, his mind busy turning over the mysterious disappearances.

Kate was here ~~and totally had been since yesterday, honest~~.

This mystery disappearance issue bothered her far more than she'd like to admit. Without anything physical she could poke with her sword or grab and shake until it stopped... She felt powerless, and hated it.

This is what you get when I spend my usual class-writing time feeding my Shakespearean to the Nothing.
