Student Council [Friday, Lunchtime]

When the students arrived for their meeting today, they would find not only pizza waiting for them, but an assortment of pies.

"Everything I know about Thanksgiving, I've learned here, so it's all about food," she said, once everyone had gotten settled. "The holiday next week is the only thing coming up before our next meeting. Do we want have any kind of meal for people who are sticking around? I know it's a very American holiday, but with the portals being not as secure as usual, we might have more folks staying here instead of going home. Or, if you have any other ideas, the table is yours." The parts of it that weren't covered in food, of course.

"I think a dinner might be nice, yes," Wesley offered. "Even though some students aren't accustomed to celebrating the holiday back home, the fact that few students will be able to be with their families might make a group dinner a nice gesture."

Also, there was that whole class assignment where he had to eat a meal prepared by someone else this week. Don't think he'd forgotten about that.

"As someone whose home isn't exactly to November yet, I'm totally on board for this." Or at least she was very excited by the idea. "But, who usually does that cooking part? Home ec is not my personal strong suit, but I'm killer at getting things catered!"

"And maybe we can get some homemade stuff, too, if people want to make sides or something?" Annie said hopefully. "It makes things a little more personable, especially if Portalocity is keeping people from home. Oh, I put that email up around the school as a StuCo service, by the way, just to make sure everyone's informed."

Rilla made a face. "I haven't heard from anyone at home in days," she lamented. "It's intolerable."
